We're working on the rebuilding the FAQ. Some of what you've mention has already been but in it, however I added your thread as a link in it for everyone to look at. Speaking about that, the link to the Modern Art forum in the FAQ leads to index.php?id=1.
As a quick reply to Green-Kirby's request, until this info gets added to the FAQ, I'll post the names of the classes you must style to give your post sidebars a custom style: * topbarXX_1: the cell that holds your username * topbarXX_2: the cell that holds the 'Posted on foo' and link/reply/ID links * sidebarXX: the cell that holds the sidebar contents * mainbarXX: the cell that holds the post contents Replace XX with your user ID. If you have a tiling image in your sidebar that matches the one in your mainbar, it won't align right. You can fix this by setting your sidebar's background image alignment to "top right", so the right edge will match with the mainbar's "top left" alignment:

Posted by Kawa Likewise, painting it with a background colour requires the user of !important to over-ride the image backgrounds using in most themes. The world could always use more heroes! |
