I want you to type your entire post in this thread without looking at the keyboard or anything you type. Make no corrections after you open your eyes to hit "Submit", and don't edit your posts unless you're adding things.

So. How bad is YOUR blind typing? :D

(I'll note that I opened my eyes and found that I had typed that perfectly. You may comment on your horrible typing skills at the end of your post and you may look to see what you type when you write that comment.)

You are so full of crap and creampuffs when you say you typed all that blindy.

* Kawa opens his eyes
Oooh, just one missed 'l' in "blindly". Sweet.

You wanna know what's really bad? I type worse with my eyes OPEN than CLOSED. And when I do make a mistake while typing blind, I still notice and automatically correct for it. I just had to backspace a 'd' in place of an 's' a couple sentences ago, for instance. It's kind of automatic any more.

It really bothers me when I'm typing passwords, though. I know what I'm typing and I can see that I'm typing something, but I can't see on screen what I typed. It pisses me off. It pisses me off good.

* @GreyMaria opens her eyes
Why did I say "backspace a 'd' in place of an 's'"? That doesn't make sense. I should have said "backspace a 'd' because I wanted an 's'". That would have been better.

I just typed an entire paragraph, the opened my eyes to find that I hadn't clicked into the text typer thingy. Thhe I did another, and found I had caps on. OOPS. Here, have one more.

T'was brillig, and the slithy troves did gyre and gimble in the wabe. All mimsy were the baragrovesm abd tge ninwraths outgrabe.

Okay, that one had LOTS of errors. I can feel when I type nerrors. Alsom I type better whe typing fast. I guess whgeb I gotta think about how to spell shit, I lose track of where the keys are. When I type normally I just.... type. It's all very good.

Though I'm sure I've made PLENTY of errors here. HAving my eyes closed ius nice. I'm really tired... I could sleep like this, nighty night,,,z,,,,,,,,,,,zzzzzzzzzzz

I hope I can still do this despite having a compact keyboard. And a poor memory of what letter is where and where the fuck my hands are.

I still think this is a stupid stupid dumb dumb idea. I mean, I could claim[ to be blind-typing, but who can tell, really?

I don't terribly see why anyone would think this would be difficult. I'm typing at my normal speed and I don't believe I've made an error thus yet; when typing normally I typically detect errors by feeling that I have hit the wrong key based on my experience with typing, rather than what my eyes tell me. So this doesn't seem particularly difficult.

Opening my eyes now~

Yeah, not hard.

I think now that I'm in my usual computer sitting position, I should be able to do better... the last one was written with the computer in my lap, which is not how I usually prefer to use it.

Watching you people withtour horrible typing skills is really amusing. I can't read some of the posts in this thread.

Did I mention I'm a self-taught typer? I make a few mistakes every now and then and a few mistakes that are really common (soul vs soil for instance)... ohgod I forgot what I was typing. What was my train of thoughht? Shit.

* @GreyMaria opens eyes

Fuck. There goes my perfect score. FUCK.

I don't really see how this could be any hard. I mean I know where the keys are on the keyboard and don't look at it in the first place while typing.

...Yep.

It's only easy as long as you don'y lose track of where you are with the hands to keyboard factor.
