I usually buy them online through Amazon, or in Japan I purchase them just about anywhere. Very rarely will I get a game from Gamestop... Some of their stores have this policy to where they open up all the games and keep the discs in a pile in a drawer behind the counter. The problem I have with this is the fact that they're charging people for these games as if they are new. Fact: If I'm not the one ripping off the plastic and the first one to touch the disc, the game is NOT NEW. A worker there seemed offended when I explained this and told them I was not purchasing the game I came for.

♥444 ✿5214 ★47 I used to pretty much use GameStop exclusively when I was in high school, since it was very easy to get to from my house.  Nowadays I'm more likely to use Amazon, or various importers (since Amazon doesn't really cover FDS games), though lately I just haven't bought any games at all.
I've purchased the occasion digital-download license, but as people say that isn't really buying a game... |

As of late, I managed to get two 3DS games for 75% normal price (before 20% off for a $100+ electronics purchase) by shopping Fred Meyer.
Other than that, I don't shop special for games. |

The only boxed games I bought in years was for my 3DS, otherwise it's all been digital purchases! The only time in the last... four years that I bought a boxed PC game was with Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the preorder bonuses. Considering the recent fuck ups at the Gamestop I usually shop at and what I found out about them from one of my coworkers that used to be their assistant manager... I think my PSP may be the last thing that changes hands between me and that franchise. I'm going exclusive to the Game X-change, since they treat me well and always help me out. |

Around here, we have a few nice, locally-owned video game stores (one even sells used DVDs and CDs as well as games) so I rarely, if ever, go near GameStop, FYE, Best Buy, etc. (usually the only time I go to one of those is if they're running some kind of big sale, special, or are discontinuing a system)  "Miracles happen, when you believe..."
