Turning to Bel, she replies, "It's not that simple. The magic is too weak to rely on for use as a tracker... Even if it was strong enough, it may just lure us into enemy hands." |

"What, probably a couple hundred, wouldn't you say, Lucia?" Billy says in response to Bel's question.
"Varying degrees of unsafe, mind you," Lucia adds. "One of his portals was directly in a volcano. That one sucked." Natalie decides to examine Caionna's rings a bit more in-depth from her seat. "I'm not sure about the whole 'can't trace it' thing. Cross-dimensionally, sure, that'd be a little more difficult, but... hm. Do those rings involve the binding of any portion of soul?" |

"It's up to you whether we should give it a try," Natalie says after a few moments. "I'd rather know for sure they're okay, but if there's a chance we could wander into a trap far too big for us to handle..."
She nuzzles at Billy with a quiet sigh. I hate doing the right thing... it always puts somebody at risk... and if that risk comes to rear its ugly head... Billy picks up on his dragoness' disconcertion and gives her a tight, reassuring squeeze. At least he's supportive... I wish I hadn't spent those two years out of contact with him. |

"Why is it that you seem to imply that I don't want to save them?" Starts Caionna, obviously flustered, "I already said what we're up against is stronger than we are, especially due to me being in a weakened state from having recently escaping so narrowly."
The tone of her voice becomes increasingly angry as she goes on, "Need I remind you that I wanted to take time to rest before engaging in what could essentially be a frivolous venture?" Taking a deep breath, she attempts to calm herself, saying in an almost unnerving stoicism after that outburst, "Besides, while I rest, I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities for adventure in the other planes surrounding us. All you have to do is look." |

I was only trying to say that maybe we should find out for sure whether or not those rings could play a purpose in helping us find them. Caionna's eyebrow twitches in perturbation at the remark about having spent a lot of time with Zissou, the thought that crosses her mind at this point is, 'Of course I've spent a lot of time with him, he was my mentor and teacher! I can't believe Bel sometimes, really.'
Taking a deep breath to calm herself from smacking Bel so hard his head spins, she says, "I don't know what there is to be done." She sighs, "Besides, it's not like I really can do anything... I'm still weak from creating this planar fold." |

Natalie can practically taste the aura of frustration radiating from Caionna...
She kisses Billy on the cheek before depositing him in her armchair and getting up, shooting a low growl at Bel as she passes by on the way to Caionna's other side. "Then you should be resting and relaxing... I'm sure whatever comes up, we can handle it... and there's probably a couple of people here who could research those gems, perhaps? I'm familiar with certain methods of creating soulbound gems, but I'm not versed in the pure arcane..." She pauses for a moment, realizing that maybe she should shut up about the gems and Caionna's missing friends. She continues with a bit of a frilldroop. "Or there may be a few dozen artifacts of pure power scattered across the spacetime that haven't been discovered yet..." |
