Personally, I think it's a good idea. Click it and Ticket is all fine and good, but it's not THAT easy to check that. I don't see it as a privacy concern, all it checks is the crash data. Those complaining probably just don't wanna get in trouble when they forget their seatbelts. I always put mine on, and if they black boxes are put in, it might (at least SLIGHTLY) increase safety.
