My day started off rough by having overslept by oh... Twelve hours. Went to bed at noon yesterday, got up at four this morning. Went about my day normally until about 9, when my internet shit out. Called into Windstream to see what those stupid motherfuckers did, they had shut me down to upgrade my bandwidth... It didn't come back up until 4. SEVEN FUCKING HOURS to do nothing, because I didn't notice any difference.

While I was waiting for Retardstream to get me straighten my service out, I decided to play Paper Mario for a while... When the storm kicked up, lightning must've struck outside, because my TV popped... Luckily, it and everything else is fine.

Here's the goddamn kicker... At around five-ish, I started smelling smoke in my room... The source? A wire in the crawlspace must've caught when the lightning struck, and there was apparently a slight gas leak right near it... Luckily for us, we called into the fire department quick enough to avoid any serious damage. I'm not able to stay at home tonight, so I'm hanging out with Curt tonight.

So... How was everyone else doing tonight.

Yikes. Gas leaks aren't fun.

Once came home from work to one on the cooker. Said cooker was the blame as well.. and of all things, my Aunt wanted to use it again despite the fact it almost set the kitchen on fire. >_>

We once had a gas leak. I was young then. Half-scared to death that the whole place would explode. And it did.

There was that other time where the house was completely filled with this thick smoke from the stove. God, that smell lingered for ages!

Edit: There's the word I was looking for... lingered, only took me a few extra days :P

A gas leak next to a power line inside the walls... that's the sort of thing that appears in my nightmarish paranoia *shudders*... Good to hear everything seems to have worked out alright.
