So, does anybody else here play any MTG? What type of decks do you run? What format do you play in normally? Any awesome stories to share?
I haven't played in a long time since I moved away from my old school and recently I've been swamped with school too much to consider playing down at my local comic shop, where most of the people play in the Highlander format. I used to play quite a bit, then I got the shit job that I have now and my time for actually doing stuff that isn't 'go to work, come home, go to sleep, wake up to do it all again' has really fucked my urge to play... Especially since those asshole have me scheduled on the graveyard shift, on the nights the guys I used to play with get together.
As for my decks, I have several, but my baby is my Green/White/Black Persist deck from back in the Shadowmoor days. I think this thread is better suited for the Entertainment forum than the General... Moved. |

I learned how to play this only two years ago. My boy is insane good at it and my roommate plays in tournaments. I usually play Green decks or white or blue. I wish we could go to more FNMs but the ones here are a little...meh. |

I used to play a lot. I moved to Oregon over a year ago and took over a hobby shop that primarily deals with MTG. I've got.. over 50 decks somewhere. My favorites are my red/blue counter/control/burn and my metalcraft artifact deck from Scars.

most of my decks are commander/EDH format now. I currently have more commander decks than actual decks though.

It's a shame this thread got bumped for a dumb reason. Does anyone still play this? I haven't played in about a decade, when I used to run a black/blue deck and thought Mindslicer was the best thing ever.

I haven't bought any new cards since Scars of Mirrodin was coming to a close.
Even then, I only played Modern format. I tweaked the old Persist deck a few times, and it's only missing a few key cards to be perfect. If I could get my hands on two copies of Damnation, I could take the white out of it and the deck would run more smoothly. |
