Most of my ancestry is in the British Isles, at least. Though a lot of it is Irish.

Generally the best way to learn to code is to have a project in mind and start working on it, it will inevitably not be "good code" but you have to start somewhere Then you can just look up each problem as they show up, and look at other people's code as you go.

PHP is said to be a good place to start; JavaScript is pretty easy as well.

Honestly you just have to pick something and start with it. If you don't like it, try something else, but if you don't know any programming it's going to be hard for you to judge programming languages
