I don't know about anyone else, but I find those (usually Chinese) knockoff/counterfeit brands to be hilarious. Post any that you like, have found, or know of here, or just discuss the concept in general. Here are some of my faves.

"Nintendo PolyStation"

Make up your mind, is this a Nintendo or a PlayStation PolyStation? Or possibly a Namco?

"oMcMcDnoald's"

Not only do they spell McDonald's wrong, they add another "Mc", an "o", and a third arch.

"Star Fucks Coffe"

As a non-fan of Starbucks, I find this one hilarious. Extra points for spelling "coffee" wrong.

"GilnGhey"

The ridiculously tall "n" just looks...wrong, especially next to the tiny capital "G". This brand also appears as "Gilheney" with the same tall "n", or as "Gelleme".

"BAC"

Notice the entirely different font for the "A". Like they weren't even trying.

"PenesamiG"

These batteries, or so I've told, will squish in your hand and only last a couple of minutes. Also seen as PenesaniG, PemesaniG, etc.

"Bumblebee Fgamktroobl"

My personal favourite, simply for the incredibly unpronounceable, mixed up "FGAMKTROOBL" lettering. Apparently it's supposed to say "TRANSFORMERS". I'm guessing someone doesn't know how an alphabet works <_< >_>

You lost me at Star Fucks, but I hung on to the end anyway and dammit that was worth it.

..I so totally should have taken a picture of that iTorch which was a blatant attempt to leech off the Apple i(Something) range of products.

PS Vita knockoff. More like a PS Vita mixed with a PSP Go. Most likely nearly all ripoffs come from China, Taiwan, or the Middle East.

It looks like Apple is always trying to get their consumers, reporters, and other team members to go claim Android devices as knockoffs. There's enough stuff they've stolen from others already.

EDIT: Link. Maybe it's just the reporters...

Oh wow, many of those names are just lol. Sometimes it is as if they aren't trying. Then again, they are a knockoff so they most likely don't care.

I should link to some knockoff toy images or something tomorrow. It should make for a couple of laughs.

"Phlhps"

This brand is common on Chinese and Vietnamese sites. Note the complete absence of vowels.

"Cbaj"

I like how this one even mangles the name in the slogan. Don't get mad, get cbaj!

The Nintendo Polystation is probably a cheap console with "NES on a chip". Those crappy knockoff consoles are very inaccurate, to the point that you're better off using a emulator (even average emulators). :x

The "built in programs" blurb would suggest you're right.

Yep, probably. I had something like that. "Power Player" or "Super Joy" depending on what part of the packaging you were looking at, sold at some fly-by-night mall kiosk. It plugs into your TV and has fake buttons intermixed with the real ones, and comes with 76 NES games, but claims to have 76000.

It's not a knockoff, but still a weird shady pirate system.

I always see stuff like this at the flea market and at the swap shop. I just shake my head and walk away, mad that they don't have any proper video game systems/games.

I actually have never been to any flee markets ever. Not any I can remember of. I've been to Garage Sells and that's about it. I've never seen any knock brands sold in any as well.

I've seen some video reviews of various DS and PSP ripoffs that play about as well as a broken Game and Watch.

I feel sorry for the kid whose clueless relative buys them a knockoff system. "Can I have a PSP for Christmas pleasepleaseplease?" "Here, here's your POP Station. That's what you wanted, right?"

I wonder how old that photo is. I see CRT's and it's the old Windows logo being ripped off.

I assume you seen Ashens reviews on Youtube then. ;) Popstation is probably the longest running ripoff brand I seen, keeping up with the game and watch level of tech. :/

I think the vast majority of Stuart Ashen's Youtube Channel belongs here.

I remember seeing the Starbucks one a while ago. Pretty funny.
Also, I remember the polystation. My little cousin had it. It had the game "99999 in 1"
They were almost all of the NES games repeated over 100 times...It also included graphics hacks and more copycats, like bomber mario and a SMB1 with link.

Also, here is another one:

(yes, its Obama Fried Chicken...WTF!? o_O)

The above image almost killed me. Oh god why is the idea of our president owning a chain of fast food restaurants, something like KFC more specifically, so darn funny? Well one thought comes to mind but that's not it actually.

I recently saw a guy walking down the street with a "PUNA" shirt instead of Puma. Not sure if it was a knockoff or some kind of parody, as that brand apparently gets spoofed intentionally a lot (Tuna, Pimp, etc.).
