It's among many unanswered questions among men like "What's the meaning of life?" and what have you. Now I may not be one for philosophy, but if I had to take a guess it's a metaphor for just how little man truly knows about the world. The pipes all being a giant jumbled mess truly goes to show how confusing our world is. Way back some years ago I liked it so much that since I was well aware of ROM hacking at the time I even took a gander at making some horrid creations myself with it. I never posted them anywhere and most of them are on an old hard drive on a computer that I no longer use and is just used by someone else I know, different operating systems were installed on it so as such the hard drive was formatted. Not that it's much of a loss considering the quality of my little creations, it's a hard game to hack and I didn't know what the fuck I was doing like 90% of the time. Apart from that whole thing it also helps influence my creations whenever I create anything really, like for example on the rare occassions when I make music I at times find myself using Mario RPG instruments simply because of how much the instruments and tracks in that game are glued into my head. Apart from that I just really enjoyed playing the game in general obviously, the characters, atmosphere and everything in that game always makes me feel warm inside.
