KP <- got paloza'd. If it's any help I didn't give you a real answer. What did provide to you was just 63% sarcasm 34% boredom (waiting actually) with pinch of salt.. I cooked it at 550˚F for 12 seconds. Served in a dusty shot glass.. (and yes I could probably continue for a while with this bit but I am bored of it myself.)

Mario Kart 8.. Does indeed look awesome! I've only seen it and have yet to play it. Good eye for details in the new version.. I can't wait to get the chance to play it. :)

I also am happy to see the NGC controller adapter for the Wii U for SSBWii. I will use that for sure :)

Yup. Also we shouldn't be flooding people with questions just to bump up your postcounts.. or to flood the person out by giving them a shitload of questions to fight though.

In the old Acmlm's Board days we used to see 800+ posts a day more often than naught. However it was a diverse collection of posts. It's important that we remember to spread it around or this board will choke and die.
800+ posts with the amount of active users we have is a bad sign, and not a good one.

I know that in coding there "hashing" and so with tagging stuff, it looks like the word "hashtag" was created and then became an overly-abused word and annoyance.


It's solely based on the fact that they use # as the symbol. Nothing about hash tables, etc. (nor maryjane and the scooby gang either)

The optimal part is 'tag'. It's tagging shit to be found.

I haven't had the chance to play it yet (it's on my list for sure), but I've very much been interested in the project as soon as I was linked to it. I am happy you decided to share your disASM of the game as well. You did a very good job with the blending of the all the new elements to match the original NES SMB3 style.

Speaking of fixing, the stability of the forum is becoming worse than ever. But that's probably more of a hardware issue.

First I got a MySQL error and then Firefox failed to connect the server at least 3 times at 25 minute intervals or something.


That is not an AB2 software issue. That is a Kafuka specific server issue. We're aware, so you need to make any error reports when it is down. The issue will be resolved once a server rebuild can be done. Until than periodic downtime will happen from time to time. (Also this is a server issue not a AB2 software issue.. any further discussion should be moved to a new thread.)

It's a smaller software company using a rather obscure software programming language (there is hardly anything on the net about it so i don't want to mention it, and it orginates from the mainframe era of computing), as a backend. But they got a lot of customers, so it's a legacy they keep running and actually is expanding! They are steadily making things more Java-based, and thats where I come in. :)

Who ever said this is probably thinking from the view point of using the addresses to hack the rom rather than modifying the source to build a brand new file. The labeling you used is vastly superior. I have a Visual Studio project that I use and anytime I need to modify an aspect of the game I simply do a global find for certain keywords and I'm able to find what I'm looking for. Not to mention that relying on addresses becomes instantly inconvenient the moment you modify the source as the addresses no longer point to the correct places./quote]

I agree as well. The fixed address method to me feels clucky, and 'old school'. Once we started dealing with the concepts of project based hacks and code mods I don't know why we would want to ever go back. I know the effort is very huge to perform a documented disassemble in a format that is clean and easy to work with. If I was more skilled of a low level programmer, or indeed if I work on a ROM hacking project like this, it would likely follow this fine example.

Rarely. I am the type who doesn't get sick no more than 2 times are year on average. However if I do catch something it takes me without fail. I usually recover in a day or two though.

I also get migraines periodically. Those fucking suck.

I know most of us don't actually watch TV. I have a small handful of shows I do, and TV has a background noise generator at times too.



This seems to really show that yes indeed for the US Network primetime TV is obsolete. (We all know it.. but numbers help) only 10 show growth (including BB's yay!) and 6 remained flat at 0% change.

I figure this chart could stir up a bit of conversation. Either based on shows you watch and of course the whole state of the industry.

I am not a fan of hot drinks either. I don't normally drink coffee either. I only tend to drink it black when I do, and frankly only if it's a triple espresso.

I drink all my teas cold as well; usually without any sweetener. So I understand. Actually in my office only a few people drink coffee from a pot anymore.
