I imagine OS X "fuzzy" font rendering helps too.

Font smoothing hurts my eyes by making them try to refocus. Text is supposed to be rendered so crisp that it doesn't use "subpixels", dammit.

Poker Night at the Inventory 2 just went on preorder on Steam for $4.99. You get the first game for free if you preorder. (Also, you'll get a bunch of TF2 items if you play the game, but chances are you probably won't use them.)
