Lol I was on team cat actually. I don't favor either animal so I just figured I would go cats for Taryn.

However lol I don't see what the big deal is on the loss. I quite happy with my 12 (no wait 18) Super Sea Snails. I knew the rules going in so what's the big deal? If you win or lose you'll get another chance to play in a month or so. (I mean I should have 12 not 18 SSSs.. so I'm already a head. Those silly butthurters did net me a few more so that's cool. They should however stop if they are still bellyaching... after all the next topic will redistribute everyone to different sides anyway. )

I had a shit ton of fun. I had a really good 9.0+ streak and kept it in that ball park for good while (until my tendonitis started to hinder my playing). This is the most I've sat playing any game let alone with the game pad for any real length of time.

On a side note (I've told this story way too many times) I had a 1v4 match during the event. Lol I until around 2:10 I was able to get good coverage and even hit them with Inkstrikes twice before I got pinned back at my base. I was using the Aerospray RG so I didn't have good range nor did I have a secondary that could clear the blockade. (It has inkmines.) I actually found it a lot of fun. 1000pts for just one person is pretty good. (I wasn't fast enough to get a good screenshot)

Trelior: I did end up sending you a Miiverse friend request. Maybe we could play together sometime?

I'm almost at 19. I haven't played as much this week due to being sick. I want to try to get close to or at 20 by the time splatfest roles around. (Heh I get a splatfest for my birthday eh?)

I'm trying out various other weapons. I've found an affinity for the Splattershot Pro. I still have to improve my aim a bit, but I love the range. (I killed it in Moray Towers). I have to remember to watch my ink levels as it's loves to eat it all up. (Compared to the Aerospray MG I've been using.)

I do both. I actually have a lot of gear on both ends of ink saving. (inksaver and ink up while submerged. most are secondary abilities though) I spend most of the time in the ink anyway It's going from an Aerospray which just sips ink.. it's all about timing changes internally.

Just keep in mind that the more instances of an ability you have across you gear, the less of the effect you receive from each iteration.

Speaking of equipment: I'm less than impressed by Spyke's mail order service. You can ask her for anything you see around the plaza, but she'll half-ass it and charge you arm, a leg, and your tentacles for a subpar piece of junk.

I asked for shoes with Ink Resistance+, Special Charge+, Run Speed+, and Damage+. The next day, she told me that all she could find was Bomb Sniffer and two empty slots. She wanted 15000 coins too!

Her service is garbage.

Indeed. I am pretty well versed at the mechanics of Splatoon's gear for sure. It's good advice that people don't always realize. Once I get to Level 20 I'll prob sit down and figure out what I want to reroll and the odds based upon the brand (gear brands have an effect on what can be rolled and by how much) and all that stuff. (Well after the next Splatfest. More SSSs)

Lol. Spyke ordering I only did once to try it out. I found a guy with a really nice 3 Star Hat and I got tired of waiting for it to appear in the shop. So I ordered it and it only came with one of the sub abilities the guy had. 30k to boot. I ended up getting it as I had plenty of cash, but I decided not to do that again. That's really bad that they gave your a bomb sniffer when you asked for Ink Resistance. I haven't asked him for anything but 3 star gear. Maybe if it's less he acts a bit more random?

He'll add slots and reroll for me. That's good enough.

I did switch out the shirt with the Splatfest to level it. I've been shuffling gear to level them up and have a nice selection of loadouts. The shoes are just ones I am leveling at not the normal ones I wear. (I will add a slot once I get that second slot leveled.)

Can't go wrong with ink saver and fill types.
