Nope! It's a text and voice chat app that works with your phone, computer, and maybe your toaster (if you got one of those silly android toasters). It works with Windows, Mac OS X, iOS (Steve Jobs died. Get over it), and Android (Hey.. I'm one of them!). It feels a lot like a combo of this board with irc and a little bit of voice chat glued on to it. Best of all It's free! Go on.. try it! If you don't like it you can uninstall it! (I wish I could do that with The Phantom Menace and my circuits. "Meesa Remember!")

Sorry about that. I've elimated the ad bot. But seriously I would like to try to grow the discord a little bit. I'm not asking everyone to join it, only if you want to do so. It's the only place I am really able to pay attention to these days. IRC at work is almost a no go anymore due to new network routing dropping my session every 20 mins (with TTL and keep alives!). So Discord's kinda become kinda my home. I'd like to grow the Kafuka server a bit.

It starts as a passion project than something else takes the spot (or in my case I get too busy and things fall behind. Oh well it can become your passion project too. Fork me! Go on!

ABXD is more stable for sure, and less buggy. It's in a lot of ways the better choice. AB2 and it's forks are more genuine, but it has issue in logs of unstructured code, and bugs that were never fixed. It's useable for sure, but it need someone who can take it can polish the crap out of it. Also it's not php7 compatible at all. It should be made so for future proofing, but is it worth it?

I'm done with PHP. An Acmlmboard style software in python would be neat. However I am also quite done working on forum software. It's not really my passion anymore.

There are some ideas for someone who wants to run with them ^

One of the reasons I moved it over ti github is they have a client that makes things easy. It's all self contained and makes it obvious. *shrug* I also moved it over as more people can fork it over there.

I've been using Vivaldi for a while. I mean it's pretty much a chromium fork so nothing too special. It's got some cool little bonuses with tab sorting that I don't really use. I kinda don't have a preference for any browser as they all suck anymore.

30ppp, 100tpp. That's how I had it since the version of AB1 you could change such things. I've never really tried anything different.

DDLC is one of my favorite games of the year. So yes that's the theme of the year for this board. Only Monkia.

The other big issue with the older software is it currently doesn't work on higher versions of PHP. The older the php the more likely a know exploit exists for the interpreter. So you can combine board holes with php hole and get a whole new level of holy shit.

Yeah I didn't have a chance to really fill it out. Hopefully I'll be around the next time and I'll have a greater window to fill it out.

Mostly you should also think about what you would want and do an overhaul all at once. The system works well but it has room to grow. (Don't ask me how.. but I know it's something that isn't a major part of the board that could be made even more elaborate for fun purposes.)

Now that the big E is here, I'm making my suggestion here once again:

I would love to see a completed user battle system using the RPG stats.

I've seen other Acmlmboards implement this in the past, so I know it is possible. I also feel that this feature would add something a bit more unique to the board that you really don't see anymore.

The KCS overhaul seems interesting, but I don't feel it would add quite as much to the overall user experience like this would. Does this have any real chance of being implemented?

Sorry but RPG system was never really my thing. If Acmlm was here he'd be your man. Plus to be honest this is a web forum, if you try to add too many things that conflict it causes issues. The RPG was a novelty to post, and keep posting. Really at this point Kafuka is good on that front. The KCS/ACS/*CS

What I think could work in a similar manor would be a separate game altogether that gives you bonuses for your level and exp on the board. If anything that's what Graal, Gunbound, and tRO ended up being for the board in the past (without the board based bonuses)

I've just been thinking, and I realized another board I'm on has the inverse of Kafuka's "reign" pattern of posting. Here, someone shows up, drives up posting to a ridiculous level for a few months, and then fades away. For example, the reigns of Rydia, KuSki, and so on.

There, a troll shows up, is crazy for a few months, then disappears. And just as they disappear, a new one appears. It gets...interesting.

Interesting theory. Yeah it's odd how it works. I think also the people who stay on this board throughout are passionate and loyal. Sorry but I had to disable the effect as multiple people including myself had too many issues with the latest posts feature. Plus it was kinda laggy on a lot of systems.

Note: Normally this effect isn't allowed. I do have a layout that does this. The post itself is drunk, not the whole thread. It does do a little bit of stretching but it otherwise. I've only used this once before.

I'm going to use it here and let me know (privately) if it lags you. If it does we may take more aggressive stance on those css effects.
