The horde battles are a bit underwhelming, if you ask me. Granted, the fact that the levels are cut in half is to prevent you from getting totally ass rushed, but the exp gain suffers from it.

I've only encountered one horde battle so far, but that was pretty much my impression of it as well. :P

So far, do you think you would prefer X and Y over which generation was your old favorite? (also what was your favorite?)

My old favorite was red version- I was a gen-1-onlyist and I think Y may have broken me out of that, which is an achievement. :P But red still holds nostalgia points, which is hard to overcome.

Walked from Somerville to the Fenway to go back to my apartment, went from there to the Prudential Center for lunch, then took the train back to Harvard Square and ended up in an Au Bon Pain after an exhausting search for an open cafe :P

I'm currently using two Internet connections at the same time.

One is for surfing, the other is for my server. Ironically, accessing my own server is very problematic with this setup; apparently the roundabout way of doing things doesn't work well on the Internet. Kind of amusing.

And I suppose I will be the one to ask the obvious question: Why use two connections? (I'm assuming the server and your surfing computer are in the same place; otherwise it's not surprising)

Yeah, I've been having a lot of issues with YouTube and IRC on my Verizon FiOS recently... not sure if it's the router at fault or the ONT or what :S

I never had issues like that when I had FiOS o_O Weird...

However, I am experiencing the "site loads really slowly occasionally" issue... seems to only happen for a little bit, then it snaps back to normal.

I *did* however disable my home web server, because technically stuff like that is not allowed on a residential connection :P (then again, Time Warner didn't care much of stuff like that either)

Usually they won't look at that sort of thing unless you're moving massive data volumes. :P

Heh, one of my VCRs (my 1985 Sears, manufactured by Hitachi) must be thinking Project Runway is a piece of crap (it ate a tape containing Project Runway on it yesterday :P), but I think there's something wrong (mechanical or other)... I might do a teardown and see what the problem is (or just smash it and make a video of it, like some people do on YouTube)

Somehow I wouldn't be surprised if a nearly 30-year old VCR was having problems :P Can you still get new ones?

Went to a Thai place for dinner with some people from my Solid State class and ordered Pad Thai; I asked them to make it a little spicy, the person after me asked for it extremely spicy- evidently they got it backwards, as mine was stomach-burning and he was complaining his wasn't spicy enough. :P

Speaking of upgrades, I went through and installed all the new OS upgrades... so my tablet runs Windows 81, my phone iOS 7.0.3 (no clever name possible there), and my laptop Maverick Hunter OS X... and my other laptop runs Windows Vista, because stubbornness.
