Posted by skyuIf you don't care about the treaures in Old Tower, it can be skipped entirely. The exit is at the bottom, to the far left. If you're looking for it after Chameleo Arm, that's your problem.Posted by skyu |

I decided to give the Broadcast Satellaview Zelda games a whirl. I must say, I was not disappointed.
I played the "Third Quest" first and had quite a it of fun with it, despite the entire game losing all threat when I bought the blue ring and only getting easier from there. Although, I think the fact that my ROM had the timer turned completely off and all time-sensitive events active. I then went on to play Ancient Stone Tablets in earnest and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I missed the blue mail entirely and skipped right to the red mail in epiosde 3, which answered my long-time question of "what happens when you skip blue and go to red?" However, due to how the episodic gameplay worked, I couldn't answer my other niggling question of "What happens if you get the blue mail after you get the red?" I never tried it because the blue mail soaks a lot of damage and even with my skill level, I'm not cocky enough to bumblefuck up to Ganon's Tower essentially naked. Final screenshots: Third Quest: Yes, I ended the fight with only taking two hearts of damage. I went into the fight with full health and had both potions still on reserve (The same potions I bought for 10 rupees each outside of level 5 at that). Ancient Tablets: Just my score results. I managed to have five to ten minutes at the end of each episode with nothing to do. It was easy, by not nearly as laughably toothless as Third Quest. EDIT: Just plowed through Fourth Quest. I wasn't quite as satisfied with this one since the wonder of the journey wore thin when I realized the dungeons are the same as the third quest, just in a different area (completely different overworld) and the dungeons are still shaped like letters, but they spell out NiNtENDO (yes, the t and the i are lower case) so things got really boring around the third N. And the game lost all challenge at the blue ring and white sword. While it was still a neat little romp, it left a lot to be desired. I understand this was a weekly broadcast game and the ability to make new stuff was a little out of the question. It just felt stale having played them back-to-back. Or maybe my expectations were skewed because I wanted a balls-to-the-wall difficulty like the original's Master Quest, but then my expectations were dashed when I realized, that it needed to be easy enough to finish in four, hour-long sessions. tl;dr I'm kinda conflicted on Fourth Quest. EDIT2: Just did Ancient Stone Tables Master Quest. It felt very samey to standard, with exception to level 6 in week 3 and one heart piece and two chests in level 8 in week 4. I didn't go into this one with such high expectations, so I was rather pleased this time. My only compaint is that the ROM I downloaded had a few of the optional patches applied, one of which being the "level 2 and better sword breaks pots" which made a few crash jumps difficult to make. Dolphin is a great emulator. Even better when it mistexutes things.

I used to use Ant Downloader, but lately, it's been getting trapped in a loop of downloading pieces of the video instead of the video in its entirety.
Thanks for the alternatives, guys! |

Been playing Terraria again. Got my world into hard mode and upgraded my equipment to adamantite, but I still feel really squishy. |

Sitting here on my bed, just set up my rig in the new apartment.
I also had to set up all of my consoles through the HDMI switch, and rig up the Hauppauge for getting back into streaming. There is a veritable nightmare of wires running behind my TV stand; power cables, HDMI, USB, component. You name it, it's probably in the wire cluster fuck on my wall. In other news: I have a job interview in the morning, then I start working the job I already have confirmation for in the afternoon. I'm a busy guy all of a sudden. I won't lie, I'm exhausted. |

Late to the Pokemon Sun party.
Just broke into Rt 4... At just shy of 12 hours. Why? Bagons on Rt 3 SOS for Salamence and I wanted one. Now I'm so insanely overleveled, the only one of my Pokemon who is on par with the surrounding enemies is... Mence. And he hardly counts because he's stronger than my Dartrix (whom happens to be my highest level). |

I had an idea to start this up again, but I just don't have the desire to actually do it.
I also just relocated and started a new job, so I'm a tad disoriented and tired most days. |

Happy birthday Goobus.
I intended to participate in your race, but I got home from grabbing the last of my stuff from my mom's just before it was set to start and I said "Fuck it. Gonna sit and drool on myself for four hours instead." |

We could probably do that, or i could just try to pick up where we left off and just hand wave Zarik coming back from running an errand.
I haven't heard anything from any of those three in quite a while. |

Do you suppose we have enough interest to at least attempt a kick start? I'm fine with picking up where we left off with a handwave of the disappearance of the people who haven't logged in in over a year.
Maybe I can pull Phyresis back, assuming he will respond to me on Skype. |

I can get the ball rolling with a post here in a few hours, after I unwind from work a bit.
Since I'm "in charge" with this one, I'll be the one to dig it out of the dirt and dust it off some. Don't worry, Trap, things'll be just about right. EDIT: To answer Robbie, it's not 100% necessary to continue from the last post, but if two people are interacting, try not to let the ping ponging go on for too long. |

The room is dark. Naught a sound can be heard anywhere.
All of a sudden, a green portal bursts open on the wall of the tavern and Zarik steps through with a rather large rucksack. With a backhanded wave, he shouts through the portal, "Hey! Thanks again for the stuff!" A gruff voice calls back to him, "No problemo, Z! Take care!" and a large belch is heard just as the portal closes Dropping the bag, there is a noticeable puff of dust fly up from the floor. With a cough and a few labored sneezes, Zarik calls out, "Geez, Cai, whatever happened to your occasional--" stopping mid-sentence, he notices something is amiss and finishes his jesting sentiment at length, "... Dusting?" Taking a deep breath, and subsequently coughing from the still airborne dust, he says, "Well fuck, I step out for a few minutes and it looks like the place has, I dunno, stalled out for..." scanning the room, assessing the dust, "Two years?" Running to what would appear to be the manager's office, he mutters to himself, "Now what did she say to do when this happens?" Rustling through an uncharacteristically jumbled mess of pages on Caionna's desk, he finds a button labeled IN CASE OF TEMPORAL INTERRUPTION and presses it. Suddenly, everything bursts back to life and the lights come on as if nothing was wrong in the first place. Out in the main hall, things can be heard suddenly crashing to the ground as the patrons who weren't shunted back to their respective worlds reanimated and hit the floor. Caionna, naturally, is one of the first to come to, and vocalizes, "That is the first time things have stalled and took me with it..." Curious how things righted themselves, she inquires, "But how did things get fixed?" Not wasting any time, Zarik bolts back out to the main hall, passing by Caionna quickly, he quips "Hey sis, it broke again!" Grabbing his bag of stuff and bolting out the door before she can say anything, he makes his way back toward his workshop. Seeing his security robot in pieces on the ground, he spots Zissou, Bel, and company and cries out in disbelief, "WHAT IN THE FUCK DID YOU GUYS DO TO MY STUFF!?" |

Utterly flabbergasted, Zarik just spits and sputters angrily for a moment before grasping his forehead with his left hand and tucks his other hand behind his elbow, the bag on his shoulder slumps down and the handle hooks in his folded elbow. With an audible frustrated growl, he shakes his head.
He mutters to himself, then exclaims, "I didn't realize I had to ask permission to visit a friend in the next dimension over! I was going to make a few adjustments to the Guardbot, but you guys had to activate it and beat it beyond submission!" Slumping to his knees, he yells, "IT WAS NEARLY FINISHED!" In anger, he punches the bag and hits one of the larger, denser components in it and it makes and audible thump. Recoiling from the punch, he shakes his hand, then grabs his wrist, shouting, louder, "OW! FUCK!" He then proceeds to flip the now grounded bag as if it was a table. Standing, he kicks the bag and mutters to himself with varying coherence. The clearer words he spouts are various swears and bitching about his wasted trip and varying degrees of cursing out the, in his words, "Goddamn demolitions crew, ruiners of dreams." Picking up the bag, he pushes his way though into the workshop. Assessing the mess made by the landing of the trashed robot, he takes a deep breath, walks back to the door and shortly, and angrily says, "My stuff. You took. Give. NOW!" and holds out his hand. All the while, Zissou stands with his lips pursed, unsure how to respond to the situation. He had hardly the time to dust off from the impact of the crash landing before Zarik appeared and flew off the handle. Silently, he motions with his hand to pick up the items that were taken by Adel and Sapphyre (OoC: For the sake of it, let's just say they dropped them since neither are here to post about it) and shuffles them toward the angry one. Learning toward Bel, he says, "Never before have I seen a man's rage break so thoroughly." Inside, Cai turns her head in the general direction of the workshop with an audible creaking sound. Flatly, she says, "Wow..." |

"WORRIED ABOUT ME?" Zarik yells, snatching his belongings from their levitation in front of him. Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a cell phone-like device and says, "It's not like it's hard to get a hold of me! She can check Spacebook or Four Dimension! My shit updates automatically with what dimension I'm in and what place I'm at! Whether I want it to or not!"
He turns to take his trinkets back into his workshop, muttering "Worried about me... What the fuck. I'm a grown-ass adult. I don't need a fucking babysitter. Least of all my little sister." Zissou furrows his brow and begins to say, "I do not believe she--" Zarik bellows from inside the workshop, as if knowing the supposition was coming, "Don't even try to say she doesn't have a phone! I made sure I made one for her! She can't even blame a dead battery because I designed it to be chargeable by channeling aether to it!" After a pause, he adds, "If she lost it, it's probably on the unholy fucking mess of a desk she keeps!" apparently unaware of the irony, given his selfsame disorganisation. |
