Yeah being around trans people isn't gonna negatively affect you unless said trans people are saying you should do things that you think aren't right for you (Transitioning, taking certain hormones, etc. I don't really know much about that stuff being a cis white dude and idk what you want personally but you get my point). If he's concerned because he had a bad experience with a trans person in the past and is generalizing as a result then he can fuck off. I've met some trans people who are completely off their rocker and are complete morons but that doesn't mean all trans people are the same. Don't take him seriously, clearly he doesn't have good judgement.
Even if your dad somehow manages to disconnect you completely you're not gonna lose everyone, you'd only be departed from us temporarily (that is assuming you decide to come back when you're able to return, which I'm assuming you will). |

Holy shit I haven't been here for awhile.
Controlling parents are a pain in the ass. That being said though, I wouldn't recommend moving out. Realistically speaking, you'll most likely get yourself into a situation worse than the one you're currently in. If you turn 17 soon, that means it won't be too much longer until you go off to college and move out of the house anyway, so I wouldn't try and move out now.
That really sucks. I don't know what else to say about that.
I mean you probably shouldn't be saying that kind of thing, but that doesn't warrant a threat either. :/
All the more reason not to leave.
Like I said, I think its best that you don't move out. Just wait out the time you have left with your parents, and in the meantime maybe try and take up a hobby that doesn't involve computers. Art maybe? IDK. Point is you're gonna want to find something to occupy your time. I hope this helps. |
