"That wouldn't be a good idea." Cai says flatly, with a not-so-subtle tinge of irritation to her voice. "Do you not understand that that library is home to centuries worth of knowledge that is indispensable to scholars?"
With an annoyed sigh, she adds, "You sound like you've never dealt with possessed books before." Calming down, she concludes, "Even if they did an investigation, how would we know, shy of scrying on it? For all we know, they may have." |

"I don't know if that's a good idea though," Caionna says with a tinge of trepidation, "The affairs of other worlds aren't really for us to intervene in. Zarik took you on that quest for his selfish gain."
With hesitation, she remits, "Sure, we're adventurers of some repute in that world, but it's not our place anymore. We can't go doing whatever we please." To those with heightened hearing, a faint crackling can be heard coming from the woman's left ear, followed by a man's voice fraught with irritation, 'What do you mean selfish? I didn't realize trying to follow a lead to find my friend was selfish!' Holding her index and middle fingers up to the device in her ear, she says, "Oh come on, Zarik! We both know the chances of him being on such a dangerous quest is highly unlikely. Aren is a coward, you know that!" With am exasperated sigh, she says, "Why don't you come inside and talk to us in person instead of screeching over the link pearl? You can't be so busy you can't socialize a bit!" Before Zarik can retort, she removes the device from her ear and powers it off. "He'll either come in from the workshop to talk, or he can be stuck up!" She then trails off, mutteringto herself. |

Played any of the Shantae games before?
I've played bits and piece of the original and Risky's Revenge. I've played through the story of Pirate's Curse, and I own Half-Genie Hero. |

Favorite Sonic game?
None. I grew up on Nintendo, so I don't even have nostalgia for the games everyone loves. |

What was your first video game?
The first game I played was probably Super Mario Bros. The first game I beat on my own was Mega Man X. |

"I think Zarik just has some anger he needs to work out." Caionna says at length, "It's hard to really pin down what his problem really is. It probably boils down to what happened when we were children."
Scratching her face thoughtfully, she adds, "Comparatively speaking... Considering our heritage and age, I suppose you could argue that we still are children. Dragon lifespans are weird." With a shrug, she dismisses the thought, and goes back to her book. To the unperceptive visitors, she appears to be no different than a young human woman, after all. |

Favorite Mega Man X game?
It's a tossup of 1 or 8. Can't pin down if I like the nostalgia, or the underdog. |

Speaking of SMM2, I've been trying to get my hands on a copy of it for a few weeks now.
I have enough money to get it at Walmart's price ($49.94), but they're consistently out. I can't afford it at normal retail, which sucks. I would also prefer to have it physical over digital. |

Been bouncing between a private server for Cabal Online and Mario Maker 2.
On Cabal, I'm playing a Force Shielder. Got him to level 163 so far. Kinda playing noncommittally. I was feeling nostalgic, and wanted to play it again. Playng the private server because the official server through Steam is absolute unplayable horse shit. In Mario Maker, I've made two levels, and have started a third. Haven't done much in Course World, aside from bank up a streak of 250 in Endless (Easy). Aiming for #1 or 500 streak, whichever comes first. |

I kinda fell out with Magic. No one to play with around here anyway.
Moved the thread, anyway. |

I just want to be writing again, and this is the best way that I feel I can do it.
PIng-ponging doesn't bother me, I mean, just look at half of the Ask forum. |

Continuing to play on the Olympus Cabal server, I got my Shielder to 200, joined their GM team, and recently finished my mythril armor set (+15 enchantment, three slots with optimal skills applied to them). Now I'm at a loss for things to do because attempting to increase my armor further will hurt my offensive capability, or would be prohibitively expensive to maintain it.
Haven't been playing Mario Maker. I want to; but I don't want to deal with asinine bullshit on Endless Mode, the curated levels are kinda boring, and the fact that the levels I've made aren't getting any traction is killing my desire to create. |

What game are you most looking forward to this year?
I'm not paying particularly close attention to anything. Jobless and broke, not exactlt conducive to getting hyped for gaming. Games that have come out so far this year that I was excited for were Mario Maker 2 (spent money I couldn't afford to spend to buy it), and FFXIV: Shadowbringers (Had to give it a pass because I can't afford the upkeep on my subscription). Games slated for upcoming release that I care about are: Animal Crossing and the new Zelda sequel. |

Thoughtfully flicking the corners or her book, Caionna mulls the Kobold's question over for several minutes. "That's a pretty tough question, frankly, Bakk." She says with pause, "I suppose it's because this is supposed to be my own world to build and mold to my every desire. Although, it seems awfully strange that despite the length of time this world has existed, and the amount of aether it feels like it is taking from me, it doesn't seem to be expanding at all beyond this building and the valley it's in."
Yawning, she adds, "The exertion also makes me very tired. Far more tired than I feel it ought to be." |

Caionna shakes her head, and replies, "No. Not boredom. This is very taxing work, even though it appears that all I'm doing is sitting here." Turning to Bel, she adds, "I would rather do this on my own. I appreciate the offer, but This is my burden to bear. I don't know if there's something else sapping my power. That doesn't seem likely to me"
She adjusts herself in her seat, as if to resume reading. She doesn't get as far as opening its pages before her eyes close and her head dips softly. She appears to have fallen asleep while sitting upright. Zissou finally pipes up from his seat on a nearby sofa, "Perhaps you may be onto something about a siphon on her." He postulates, scratching his snout, "It could also be that a dragon of her age and heritage could be going through a transformation. It is difficult to tell at this moment." Getting up from his seat to stretch, he further posits, "I admit, my knowledge on her clan is sparse, at best. They are surprisingly secretive, especially for dragonfolk. But what I do know, based on other clans of dragons that possess a similar metamorphosis, she should be absorbing aether, not abating it." |

Best deal you ever had on a computer hardware piece?
I think I got the 2TB powered HDD I use for my Wii U for something around $20. Probably that. did you watch any obscure tv shows that no one else did? Not really much of a TV guy, so probably not. Ever listen to any obscure songs that no one else did? Can't say that applies either. The most "obscure" I tend to get is waiting for things to stop being popular before I get involved with it. If I do get into something at its height, the other people who circle around it push me away from the thing, indirectly, because they're snobby about it or go full mouthbreather over it that I disassociate. Shit, I just now go into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Downloading a dual-audio rip of Diamond is Unbreakable as I type this. |
