Why fourteen dimentions?

If you assume a situation analogous to l=3 we have 7 m states, -3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, and +3. By propagating this into 2d pseudo-membranes, each of the 7 states represents two distinct individual spatial dimensions. Therefore as long as we accept the above postulates in full one has access to 14 spatial dimensions from a single l=3 postulate.

Do you think there could be seven parallel universes and seven different universes in addition to spatial dimensions?

It seems strange to imply there's a limited number of parallel dimensions; what in particular would cause them to form but not infinitely so? (Though I could imagine a "very large, but not uncountably infinite" situation)
