Why did you change the quotes in your layout?

Because in lieu of an actual new layout I just keep tweaking this one lately.

The quotes don't seem to work too well though- the links get unreadable too quickly for the insane quote pyramids of this board.

Do you like that here old layouts aren't saved for old posts instead of being kept?

I actually like Jul's method better- but I can see why Kafuka does it this way, and it does make layout design easier without having to worry about posts where both versions occur on the same page.

Do you remember the use of .txt file images to bypass hotlinking filters?

I used to do that a lot myself to get by angelfire! Once in a while I look through old folders on my computer (folders that survived moves from computer to computer) and I still see text files that turn out to actually be images when I open them.

Are you really that far in the past folder-wise?

Not on this laptop; but on my Windows one I just copied my emulation folder outright from my older desktop... why not? Easier than rebuilding from scratch, and it had all my ROM hacking projects before I abandoned them all.

Would you like remaking the past horror to make it look good?

Fortuna Fantasy, my longest-lasting ROM hacking project, took I believe 10 years before I gave up... It did evolve quite a bit from the past horror along the way, and I continue to play with other old ideas of mine that started out quite awful.

So I suppose that's a yes? But only if there was a kernel of worthwhileness to it.
