So I figured I'd look here, knowing the rest of the board is kinda slow, but not thinking it'd be that slow.
Poor board, needs some activity! Hey Acmlm. |

I remember back in the day the board had no admin panel. You know, no easy way to make forums, etc. I assume all that's been done now? |

Posted by ScrydanSo in other words, it's finally almost to a point of release where it'll work like PHPBB or similar stuff out-of-the-box with no additional PMA or other interface(s) needed for managing anything. I would say "It's about time" but I know that the primary goal of the board has never really been about distribution. It's just nice that others who are in this community who really like the software will finally be able to use it on their own. Just a suggestion from my POV as an "Oldbie" with other board & CMS experience: TinyMCE for posts (at least as an option selectable for each user). |

Blaming the death of Hostess on the union is like blaming the death of GM or Chrysler pre-bailout on the UAW / CAW.
Since 2002, they've had 6 CEOs - none turned the company around. In 2004 they declared bankruptcy, and the union then agreed to huge concessions. The company saved $110 million from this but didn't put a dime back into their business. They haven't turned a profit in ages. Since 2004 they've closed 21 factories and killed thousands of jobs. No concession by the union would have had the company remain alive another 5 years. And even 5 would have been unlikely. An acquisition of its top brands by a real company that knows how to turn a profit (ex: Kraft) would be their only saving grace, and has been the case since they were bought by a private equity firm. Private equity firms rarely if ever actually turn companies around (think Bain Capital). |

I'd rather not dig through tons of posts to find this answer:
What the heck is the timezone this is based off of? Obviously not a US one, since it's still November 19 here. |

It can't be. A lot of the results are posted before midnight GMT even. |
