What U.S. State/Continent/Country, etc, etc, are you from? Vote in the poll above. You are also encouraged to give a little background on your history with your location (especially if you chose Rest of North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Antarctica, Africa, and Other (please specify)).
If you look at the left side of this post, you will know where I live. It also gives away where Hiryuu lives, but don't worry, his profile on here mentions where he lives as well. Funny that me and Hiryuu have lived in the same state for I think my entire life (except maybe for a brief spell). I used to live in Illinois, and I'm fairly certain I found posts on the I3 Archive of the original Acmlm's board where he stated he was also living in Illinois at that time. Oh yeah, if you live in Antarctica, please do tell us how you survive/tolerate 24/7 Winter there, lol. And I leave you with a joke. What genre of music are national anthems? Why country music of course! |

Posted by Needle It would appear so, but it would be one long poll if I included all 195 countries in addition to all 50 states (245). Idk exactly how many active users hail from North America, but its got to be a good chunk. Isn't Emuz from Canada? I thought he mentioned, probably on the original Acmlm's Board (I3 archive over at Board 2), that he was. I know Acmlm is, and it was either there or his Rom Hack Domain that he mentioned it. |

Today's weather has been wild to say the least, and it's not even 11:00! Last night, Dan Skoff, who works for KNWA/Fox 24 duopoly in Fayetteville said it was doubtful if we saw rain (but did leave the chances in to cover his rear) as the models were back and forth on it for Fayetteville. He was more confident in the River Valley, which includes Fort Smith (about an hour south of Fayetteville).
Fast forward to 11PM last night. Dan and his newest meteorologist, Peyton Langford, were just about to head out of the studio for the night when a severe thunderstorm watch was issued for almost the entire viewing area. He got why the River Valley was under it, but didn't really get why Northwest Arkansas was as we had no severe weather risk at the time. He chalked it up to one storm between Tulsa and Fayetteville that briefly went severe warned before breaking apart and the NWS out of Tulsa covering their rears. Fast forward to 3AM and I am being woken up by a phone call from CodeRed saying we are under a severe thunderstorm warning. It's thundering, lightning, all that jazz. Josh Rugger was already in the studio by this point as he dropped a very early 4AM update. Now, was this the end of the severe storms. or were there more? Read on to find out! Fast forward to 8AM when my phone rings again. It's another CodeRed call saying we were under yet another severe storm warning, so I get out of bed as I'm the lone person on the 2nd floor of our house (my parents sleep downstairs while I'm literally the lone bedroom on the 2nd floor). I make my breakfast, and as I'm doing so, I can see out the backdoor, a really dark sky. I eat said breakfast and then throw my paper plate away downstairs when I see a MASSIVE shelf cloud barreling down FAST on us! Before I knew it, it was raining hard, the winds whipped up big time, pool water was being blown out of the pool (imagine being on the beach during a tropical storm, but less severe). There was even a tree knocked down in the neighborhood, but that did not damage anything else. The thunderstorm watch, which expired at 6AM, was reactivated until 2PM, but that expired not even an hour later. Now, as I type this, it's completely sunny, wouldn't know we had really bad storms this morning. We have more storm chances tonight, hopefully those aren't as bad. Saturday night, we have more chances, and these could pack a punch. Darby Bybee, who works for 40/29, has hinted at the possibility of a derecho. Goodie! Shelf cloud as it was ramming into us in Farmington. Darby Bybee hinting at derecho potential Saturday night. EDIT: And yes, me and Hiryuu live only three hours away from each other. If you look at the KATV temperature map on the previous page, you'll find my location pretty quickly on that map if you look in the northwest corner (top left) of the state of Arkansas. EDIT 2: I went out for a walk just a little bit ago and discovered a tree snapped in half! It fell the other way, so that person's house and car are unscathed. There was also another tree down as well, but I didn't see it, only the report on Facebook. Our neighborhood also has a small creek that runs through it. Usually, after it rains, it is clear, but today, it was very dirty. My brother also discovered several limbs on the ground while he was doing his lunchtime walk at the University of Arkansas. I really hope that derecho potential doesn't get realized Saturday night! EDIT 3: A wall cloud has formed in Fayetteville. Not tornadic. Dan thinks this pop-up storms will be it for NWA. River Valley still has storm chances. We also now have a ribbon of smoke coming towards us, too! Here's the projected smoke coming into NWA/River Valley. |

My username is taken from my old hometown. Actually, it was East Moline, but that probably would have been too long to register with, so I shortened it to its neighboring city, Moline! |

1/0. How many times does 1 go into 0? 0 times, so take 1 times 0, which should net 0. Subtract 0 from 0 to get 0. The final answer would be... Drum roll please!
0 and 0 Firsts (0 and 0/1)! Boom! Solved it! And possibly broke math in the process. |

What is a TV commercial you've seen so many times, it not only lives rent free in your head, but you can recite it! Here's one that I can easily recite:
You first always, at First National Bank, with locations in Rogers, Bentonville, Springdale, Johnson, and Fayetteville! That was First National Bank. Now you go! |

Name up to 5 facts you know. I'll start.
1. Jeff Beck played with Stevie Wonder, helping him come up with the funk rocker Superstitious. 2. The first recorded vocal by Whitney Houston was with a band called Material, a band that was known for using guest singers rather than a stable one. 3. That same band was originally known as New York Gong, as it featured Daevid Allen from Gong, a band from the United Kingdom. Daevid Allen left as the other members did not like the European life style. 4. Your intestines cannot wrap around the Earth. 5. The Police members were also in a band called Strontium 90. The Police, formed just prior, originally featured Henry Padavoni on guitar alongside Sting on bass and vocals and Stewart Copeland on drums. Strontium 90 featured Sting along with Mike Howlette (of the aforementioned Gong). Drummer Chris Cutler (also of Gong) was unavailable, so Sting brought in Copeland from The Police. This trio was supplanted by guitarist Andy Summers. This was Sting and Copeland's first meeting with Summers, who was a decade older, and already a music industry veteran. This band recorded a demo that sat on the shelf until 1997. They broke up, and Summers joined Sting and Copeland in The Police alongside Padavoni. Summers disliked him, and so got him fired. They then had massive success. That demo was released in 1997 as Strontium 90: Police Academy. It is notable for featuring the first appearance of Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, performed solely by Sting. Later, in 1981, the full Police lineup completed it, backed by guest keyboardist Jean Alain Roussel. Now it's your turn. Go! EDIT: 50 Posts! |

Posted by Needle You should, as a majority of posts on here as of late have been me (with Danielle contributing with at least one a day, that being the KCS thread). Speaking of KCS, I'm in distant second on that. Danielle is in first with over 100 points, but I'm gonna try to overtake them. |

Posted by Danielle After looking back at the May, April, and March KCS threads, that settles it! Danielle is going to be dethroned! I will find a way to do so that is not considered spam. Also, why aren't the May and April KCS threads in the Display case? Those should probably move over there imo. |

In exactly 1 month and 10 days from now, he'll be 41! Happy early birthday Emuz! Also, I hear things get really interesting when you join 50's Junction (not to be confused with the SiriusXM radio station of the same name). Of course, this won't happen until 2032. |

Let's all wish Digital Cheese a happy 651st birthday! Born on July 16th, 1372, not only is he the oldest member in Acmlm board history by a country mile, he has also seen it all! Christopher Columbus's voyage, Leonardo DaVinci, Thomas Eddison, the founding of the United States, the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, World Wars I and II, the Cold War, the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918, COVID-19 Pandemic, men on the moon, and so many other events!
If there's one Acmlm user who has literally seen it all, it's Digital Cheese, so let's all wish him a happy birthday! I present you a cake with 651 candles! Blow them out quick before the cake, and more importantly, this board, gets burned! |

Posted by Nicole Yeah, lol. Also, if Jesus were to join this board, he would not be able to put his birth date as 12/25/0 as it would default to just saying December 25th. He would have to set it to 12/25/0001, which would show his age as 2021, lol. |
