Bel watches the whole thing play out in front of him with with pure epicaricacy in his eyes, uncharacteristic for him, as he normally don't derive pleasure from seeing someone else suffer. He takes the sword up and carries it as he walks around to watch each and every blow Zarik deals from the best angle, carefully avoiding the acid puddles. He nearly trips over what looks like a remote-control of some sort lying near the severed tail.

(Hello? This looks familiar.) Bel moves it out of the puddle with the sword just to be safe, before picking it up. He takes out a small bit of paper from his robe and wipes it clean from blood and puts it in a pocket. Then he continues watching the show. At this point, Zerilisk bellow something about being avenged and Bel lets out a sound chuckle. Once Zarik's done, the wizard walks up to him to say some well-chosen words.

Bel: Avenged? You? Hilarious. Let me put it this way: You're as far down Aeshalt's "don't-give-a-shit"-list as your minions were to you. Or your former slave, for that matter. So I'd say the odds of you being avenged are pretty much non-existant. Much like your intelligence, actually.

If you were smart, you wouldn't have gone through with any of your schemes. Yet you did. And look where that got you. Face-first in the ground, beaten to a pulp, humiliated. If you'd had the guts to refuse doing Aeshalt's bidding, you could at least have gotten a quick death. You could have died with your pride intact.

Bel notices Zerilisk's left eye being completely squished and the area around it swollen as a result.

Bel: Ouch. That doesn't look good. Here, let me HELP you with that. He says as he shoves the pommel of his sword into Zerilisk's right eye with great force.

Bel: Much better. Now they match. Bel says, looking pleased with the result. He wipes the eventual fluids off the sword.

Bel: Oh, and one more thing. This probably won't matter much since you'll be dead soon but...we didn't even come close to breaking a sweat beating you.

He turns his back on Zerilisk, walks a few yards, then turns back around again and sits down to watch the final moments. At this point, he has the large roots that are wrapped around Zerilisk's limbs squeeze with enough power to shatter bone, before terminating the incantation aswell as returning his weight to normal.

Bel stands in thought for a few moments. (Find answers, he says. Where? And how? We have no way of analyzing the enormous crystals. Not to mention there'll be trouble in their vicinity. Then there's that remote. And our only tech-wiz just took off.)

He shrugs and starts ascending towards the platform with the scales in hand.

Bel: How are you feeling, Cai? Also, Aren...did you forget there were two of us down there? Zarik didn't do all the work.

Bel walks over to Aren and Caionna in case the healer needs some assistance. He suddenly noticed the device behaving strangely and takes it out of his pocket to have a look. (What's it doing now?)

Bel: Btw, I found this remote control lying around down there. It wasn't doing this when I picked it up earlier. He says, referring to the glow.

Bel: And our tech-guy just left, scouting the area.

Bel: Change the seat then? As in, change her position. No one forced you to place your nose there. As for the fight, it wasn't much of one. He was too weak to put up much of a challenge.

Expecting another telling-off from the old scholar, Bel continues.

Also, sorry about this, Zissou, but I'm not the one who thinks the previous little skirmish was a solo-act.

Noticing Caionna calimg down over the past moments, Bel thinks to himself: (Good. I'd have liked to end your suffering much sooner but destroying that infernal thing wasn't an option, sadly. Your so-called mother, however, is.)

Bel: Does it even matter if the small fries are shook up? This won't have affected Aeshalt in the slightest, I assure you. And that "parley" is pretty much non-existant anyway.

Noticing the harpy moving around and Aren's reaction, he laughs.

Bel: Hah. You really do need to get out more. Also, I don't like the idea of taking her into even more danger either but we can't leave her here. And splitting up is an even worse idea.

Bel: Well...I never expected to be so accurate in my assumption. And did you really think anyone here would be offened about what you were doing after what we've seen here? It couldn't possibly have made it worse. But next time you want to take some time off, how about leaving a note?

Bel: Actualy, Cai, you're having the exterior of my outfit on. Zissou was trying to find something you could wear in your bag but it took too long so I volunteered. And I thought I told you what you did or the condition we found you in back there wasn't your fault. Stop blaming yourself for that. You haven't done anything to damage your modesty.

At this point, Caionna shakes her shoulders so the robe falls down, exposing her chest completely.

Bel: Woah, geez. Bel says with slight surprise.

Bel: Except now, I guess? And just so you know, I was going to avert my eyes so as to respect your privacy. The wizard keeps quiet after this to allow Zissou to conduct his investigation but perks an eyebrow at Caionna's glare after the pervert remark.

Bel: What? That's not fair. I haven't had any such thoughts. Please don't lump me in with him. Bel says and tilts his head in Aren's direction.

Taking another break from speaking, Bel looks a bit disappointed about the whole pervert thing. (Is that really what you think of me? While I don't mind seeing a bit of skin, it's nothing I'd force someone else to do.)

He hears Zissou's requests and looks quite perplexed about what he just said.

Bel: You doubt your power? That sure doesn't instill me with a lot of confidence. But what choice do we have? I'm more worried about our options if this doesn't work, though.

Bel walks over to Zissou and begins chanting. Then he puts his hands down towards the rune in question and exlaims "Greater Dispel!"

Bel is sent flying back a bit, landing flat on his ass from the erupting force but does manage to shield himself from the initial blast as he suspected the rune may have some sort of defense mechanism.

(Oof. I did expect a defense of some sort but not like that. Sort of rough but I guess I should be happy it wasn't worse. Now where's...?)

By this time, Caionna is floating in mid-air with energy flowing back into her.

(Oh. I guess it did work then? That's good.) The wizard lets out a sigh of relief and keeps watching the spectacle with awe. An occurence of magical importance such as this, he doesn't want to miss. He watches quietly as crystals shatter and more take their place as they shoot up from the ground.

(Purple. My favorite color.)

He nods towards Caionna where she stands in the sunlight, not because of her possibly seeing it, but because of her power finally being back where it belongs. One that signals satisfaction from the result of Bel's and the others' assistance. In short, he's happy for Caionna. He rises from his seated position and approaches Caionna.

Bel: Who's napping? Need I remind you that your consciousness has been going on and off since we got here, up until this point? Either way, it's nice to see you got your power back.

Bel notices the loincloth and chestwrap and concentrates for a few moments. In a blue glow, the exterior part of his robe is magically recreated around him, in the proper place, but without the unnamed combination of bodily fluids that were stained on it earlier.

Bel: Are you sure that's all you need? What I mean is, are you comfortable with that? You can still borrow this if you like. Bel says and points to his exterior attire.

Bel: And if you mean "put her back where she belongs" as in a state of non-existance, I'll be all over that once we get there. I don't wanna hear any arguments about it. I have to do something other than just pinning down a weakling. In the last few lines of speech, Bel's tone grows progressively in anger.

Bel: *sigh*. Sorry. I get mad just thinking about her.

Bel watches, baffled at Caionna's focus on her hair. (Really? That's your concern right now? I understand your hair is important to you and I'd like it if it looked better too but I'd say there are much more important priorities at the moment.)

Continuing to watch, he ponders Caionna's sudden change and wonders if this is her true self or if it's a result of what Aren and Zissou just mentioned.

(Yes. I, more than anyone, understand your anger. I feel the same way for what they did to you. But to say that I like this new change in you is...hmm. I don't know what I think about it. You anger is entirely justified, however.)

The wizard turns to face Caionna as opposed to just looking at her, in thought, upon her calling his name.

Bel: Uh...I couldn't possibly call you that. The...word after queen. And you're right. It is your fight. I'll let you lead, but on one condition. I want to get some good hits in too. The reason I'm this angry too is on your behalf.

(What is this feeling? Why do I feel like I want to destroy Aeshalt myself, despite what Caionna said? I shouldn't need to. Cai is back to her...usual self?)
