♥8585 ✿4847 ★35 I had an off-shoot board early on (I think it ran 1.65 and my second one was 1.8), but it never got popular and judging by me at the time probably qualified as a derpboard :p |

♥8589 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Squiddy Imagine being told at around 1AM that they'd see you in the MRI room around 2AM, and then not hearing anything from anyone until well after 6AM. Not fun. ![]() |

♥8590 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Squiddy Eliminate both you and the spiders. If you're going to make a follow-up question, please have it be something more interesting than "what makes you think you could eliminate me?" or whatever. |

♥8591 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Squiddy In that case the smart thing to do would be to trick you into destroying yourself, rather than fight you personally. Posted by Dani When I say "I am not an all-knowing oracle", why do you choose to interpret that as "I am not an all-knowing oracle, but I am an oracle" versus, say, "I am neither an oracle nor all-knowing"? Also, meow ![]() |

♥8592 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Squiddy Clearly we should have this conversation in a more logical language, with no possibility of misinterpretations. Like QBASIC. |

♥8593 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by CherryBunny Well the "future generations will have religions using this thread as a holy book" conceit only works if I'm not around, I think. Posted by XerX Am I a future generation? I mean, are we doing some sort of weirdo rebirth system of immortality? Was hoping for the body-hopping one. |

♥8597 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Squiddy It's a joke I've referenced before. Please read pgs. 1-99 of 1 Nicole and 1-443 of 2 Nicole for more details, they're probably somewhere in there maybe. |

♥8598 ✿4847 ★35 Fahrenheit is the superior temperature system for reasons that are totally not because it was the system I was raised in and I have no mental aptitude for celsius on Earthlike temperatures.
Also, Boston will never see the spring again. It may see summer, though. |

♥8600 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by MKGirlism Off-line, it's very rare for me living in the US to come across someone who doesn't know Fahrenheit or US units to at least the basic, every-day level, and I was raised with customary units so I have a subconscious understanding of them I don't have for metric units, so there's no reason to use anything else. I imagine if there was any effort to make the change there's be only a limited "painful" period of getting used to things, but for day-to-day use why bother? On a level where interoperability matters and there's a risk of confusion, metric is rapidly becoming dominant anyway. (to prevent another crashed Mars orbiter ![]() |
