Of course, this requires you to have two X chromosomes, and even then is incredibly rare. (The presence of color-sensing genes on the X chromosome is also why colorblindness is more common in people with an XY genotype) Of course, even for trichromats, there is quite a range of ability when it comes to being able to distinguish similar colors. |
