You'd think that more people would post. It isn't hard to get into the top five for a day, it's getting into the top three and remaining competitive until the day closes that's tricky. |

I really wish a truly usable editor for Link to the Past would come out, hint hint... I would probably return to the hacking scene. |

Playing through Final Fantasy II made me realize how much sadness there is to that story. It's also very well written, so the emotion is conveyed in a great way.
When you go to Fynn to prove your worth to Princess Hilda, you find Prince Scott in the pub mortally wounded. After speaking with him for a while, he tells you things to relay to the rebels in Altair, and initially tells you to relay his love for Hilda... Only for him to retract the request because of his strength fading so quickly... Only to have him mention moments later about feeling weak and needing to rest, to have him collapse to the floor and die. Later on, you find out about the rebel support in Salamand that was lead by a man named Josef. The rebels noticed they weren't getting the support from Salamand in Semite Mine, only to realize that the imperials had used Josef's daughter as extortion to prevent him from leading the Mythril operation. After having sorted that out, Josef joins you a while later to investigate a snow cave north of Salamand to get into Kashuan Keep. Getting through all of the trials there doesn't come without a price... Because as your team is making their way out, you get ambushed by General Borghen. When the battle is over, Borghen knows he's going to die, and as a last ditch effort to take you with him, he releases a boulder that barrels down the corridor in an attempt to crush you. Josef makes the ultimate sacrifice by stopping the boulder in barely enough time for your trio to escape, but not without the cost of his life. There are a few other times through the course of the game where you're brought to know an NPC, and start to empathize with them, when something dealing with the Empire comes along and abruptly kills them. Although a bit morbid, it's a great way to instill hated toward Palamecia and everything the Emperor is trying to achieve. |

Reshiram/Zekrom hardly count toward the party since their starting move sets are both lackluster, and you're not given the chance to improve them unless you lose on purpose... Which kinda defeats the tension of the story-driven battle. |

What's on my mind is why I'm still awake, seeing as I've been up since 10:00 last night, and it's almost quarter to six in the evening already... I don't have to work for the next couple nights, but still... I should still try to keep to my sleep schedule. |

Posted by NicoleThat's why I don't use a side image without a relative size to it. If anyone remembers my 1-up layout from a few years ago, I used a relative of 40% width. |

In White I had Serperior, Stoutland, Scrafty, Vanillish, Zoroark, and Conkeldurr. I opted to send Zekrom to the PC.
In Black I had Samurott, Aggron, Charizard, Rotom (F), Tortouga, and Reshiram. I opted for using Reshiram in Black since I only had four fighters, my slots five and six were my HM slaves. I kept Tortouga since it had Sturdy and could soak for two heals. My team had nationals because I had already finished White and wanted to use classics, and the Pokedex doesn't stop you. |

That change to Sturdy added new Pokemon the the FEAR roster. A level one Roggenrola could beat a level 100 that was inflicted with Leech Seed as long as the 100 didn't have serial attacks. |
