♥12681 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Danika I'm going to go with the heart, it has the most emotional connection. That also means it wasn't a good idea to replace favoriting's star with it, but I'm not in charge of the Twitter Corporation. |

♥12691 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Danika My main computer is an ultra-small form factor, but if that wasn't the case yeah sure, why not? Though I have nothing that can read PC-formatted 5.25" floppies... (well it's probably possible to have the Apple ][ do it since the drive is 100% CPU-controlled) |

♥12698 ✿4847 ★35 Posted by Danika Definitely the integrated CRT, but I guess that is technically a capacitor... so I'll go with SCSI; having a trustworthy boot disk is essential for debugging literally anything else, and SCSI just isn't trustworthy... and the old Mac disk format basically nothing writes anymore, even though they're technically 3.5" standard disks, so a hard disk should be the way to go... |

♥12699 ✿4847 ★35 What I did to learn 6502 was start not on the NES, but on the Apple ][... seems like an odd choice, and it has some serious downsides, but there are a lot of resources on archive.org for finding beginner assembly resources. The Apple also has a built-in ROM monitor, which is kind of a pain to get used to, but it does help in early debugging since you're dropped right into it when your program crashes, and can look at memory and the like. There are plenty of emulators for it (I've heard the later Commodore machines like the Plus/4 and the 128 also have the ROM monitor)
Not sure I'd recommend that route 100%, but you might want to poke around some of the first few chapters of the books even if you don't write anything for the Apple. Some more general purpose-resources:
