Started off the day with a cal workout that consisted of push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, squats, mountain climbers, lunges, and then flutter kicks...200 of each. Was pretty smoked, but it was a good workout.
Then packed up a reserve HALO chute, two HALO mains, then repaired some night vision devices. Sewed up a few covers and did some small patch jobs, and finally it was go home time. YAY! Next up: A shower, some food, and snuggling up to the PS3 for a bit before going to bed. Not a bad day. ____________________ Sonnanja, ore no inochi wa toreneena! Yeah, Crystalis is pretty awesome.
Been taking a break from the Lord of Terror and decided to play a game I haven't played in 15 years: FFVII. Started from scratch since my old PS memory saves all seem to be corrupted and wouldn't load onto the PS3 (*sigh* Good-bye 8 MASTER level Knights of the Round materia...  )
Currently about to enter Gongaga, but building some gil and getting everyone all of their limit breaks (up to level 3-2). Not missing anything, and am very much looking forward to picking up the pwnage that is Cloud's Omnislash before the end of disc 1. It is pronounced the same as it is spelled, really. The "a" sounds short, the same as in "car". "fu" is rather difficult for non-Japanese to pronounce properly (according to my wife)... I'm not certain how to describe its sound, I just know how to say it.
And of course, the kanji, romaji and meaning Emuz posted is 100% accurate. EDIT: Thanks Gywall. New fridge getting delivered between 8am and noon today... Still thinking about the timing as to when would be the perfect time to empty out the freezer to minimize wasted food while the switch is being made. We have a really large cooler that will be filled with ice to help, but still...I'd rather not leave frozen stuff out of the freezer for too long, even if it's in a cooler full of ice. ____________________ Sonnanja, ore no inochi wa toreneena! I have played III, and own IV and V. I haven't really played them as extensively as other PC games, but I did enjoy them. Really got a kick out of the death machine you can build in V. Sorry to hear that Trel. I used to have sort of the same problem with my parents way back when. I would suggest researching a new bank account and opening one with your name and your name alone on it. It would also help if all the statements for said bank were paperless, that way you're the only one that can see them.
Of course, this might make them more upset, but being though you're an adult, you have every right to your privacy and to make your own decisions. I hope things get better for you. And in my world...I discovered that we have a mouse. Found a brand new bag of panko with a hole chewed in it yesterday. I was rather pissed. They recently re-released the PC version of VII. I did enjoy it very much and still own the original. I bought the re-released PC version this week, simply because I've been rather curious as to why the system requirements were grossly beefed up.
Original PC release system requirememts: Pentium 133 processor or higher 32MB RAM 2MB video RAM 250MB of hard disk space DirectX 5.1 New PC re-release requirements: 2 GB processor 1 GB RAM The site doesn't say anything about video RAM requirements... DirectX 9 It also doesn't mention HD space, but when I installed, the installer said 2.6 GB What was changed to justify the beefed up system requirements? The backgrounds all remain unchanged. The CG scenes appear to have been redone, smoothed out and looks like the lighting in those scenes was updated to give it a more clean look. The next thing you notice, is the sprites for the characters looks much more smooth, while still the same ol blocky look, they definitely stand out against the background and look brighter and sharper. The biggest change I noticed so far was the battles. It looks to me like the graphics here were completely rehauled. You can see so much detail in your party (as well as the mobs) and everything looks extremely crisp. Mind you, I have the game resolution set to 1080p. To play it, however, you need to create a Square-Enix account (which is free) because all of your saves are online. This way, if you install the game to multiple PCs or a laptop, you can play your save anywhere you have an internet connection. Eh, kinda cool I guess. They also added some achievements to the game, which seems to be a pretty standard thing in games now a days.
