Posted by Trelior Oh man...I remember grinding my mana for HOURS, DAYS even...just to get them all maxed out. I think it was Lumina that takes the longest, just because of the higher spell costs? Been quite a few years, easily over 10 since I played it. 
Currently grinding away on the PC re-release of FFVII. About to hit Gold Saucer for the first time, but will most likely spend a long time building up everyone's limit breaks to the point where the level 4s are the only ones left to get. Monday - Friday:
Up at 0500 and out the door by 0600 for PT, then work until 1600 (or later depending on what comes up during the day). Home around 1630/1700 ish, then it's water the plants/yard, shower, cook dinner, eat, clean up the kitchen, and then relax for a couple of hours before bed. Saturday/Sunday: Every other weekend is yard work, and weekends that don't include yard work involve house cleaning. We're usually busy or gone all day, kind of random depending on what we feel like doing or how far I can be bribed to drive. Ran a short run, only 2 miles, for PT. Excellent weather for it, too. Low 60s...was awesome.
Packed up static line chutes most of the day, worked on one of my guys' annual performance report the rest of the day. Eh...not too bad of a day, I guess. A very valid point, Taryn. All it really boils down to is people don't want to accept or understand any logic that isn't their own. And that in itself is wrong. For me it's more of a fat-finger issue when I accidentially hit the ' and the enter key at the same time. Same goes for using control and tapping the Windows key as well. About half of the "honey-do" list that was waiting for me upon returning from my work trip yesterday evening. :/
Some of the completed tasks: Mail a large and heavy box of clothes and such to my mother. Check. Change wiper blades on her car. Check (after going out and purchasing said blades). Head to city tax office to pay vehicle tax that's due before Monday. Check. Figure out wtf happend to the Wii and why it won't power on. Active duty military since 1997.
My specialty is to service aircraft/aircrew safety equipment such as: oxygen systems, helmets, life rafts, survival kits and vests (with a wide variety of survival components), emergency radios, night vision devices, chemical defense ensembles, parachutes, etc etc. In my current unit, my primary job is packing/rigging personnel parachutes all day long. :p ____________________ Sonnanja, ore no inochi wa toreneena! I'm also on the "can't stand smoking" wagon. Just the smell of it turns my stomach, even when in the car and the person in the car in front of me is smoking with the window down and the wind is blowing in my direction. Nasty. I was even accused of being rude during a wedding reception that allowed people to smoke. Seemed like eveyone in the whole damned room was lighting up, and the doors were all closed. I got up and left the room because I couldn't even breathe. I would rather spend a day in a room filled with CS gas while wearing my gas mask.
My family has a bad history with alcohol, so I don't drink. It's also a part of my martial art not to consume alcohol. And I am completely fine with that. I don't mind others drinking, so long as they don't get obnoxious. Then the tendancy to punch them in the throat for their own good and the good of society starts to rise. Not on any type of medication permenantly. I do have some pretty good pain killers on the side in case a 5th kidney stone decides to show up (and I hope it never does). ____________________ Sonnanja, ore no inochi wa toreneena!
