so the end of this was a Myst-type game, with a bad guy that looked like Magneto

anyway

(there's another part before but I don't remember it too well)

the game (of which I seem to be inside) has me do a bunch of things to save the world or whatever.

of which, getting behind two code-locked doors (easy, I got the codes already) to steal a nuclear core thing, which is a small glowing cube

this is where it's weird, the Magneto guy is there but just watching me, seems overly confident that my plan is going to fail; the scene repeats itself a few times, once it's because I messed up the part that comes after that so I have to reload a save, ... there's even a time where the nuclear core is just not there because I messed up something before (and presumably Magneto took it elsewhere because he knew I would steal it), so I look for it, comrades try to help me, apparently I need to turn something on but there's a bunch of switches and I can't figure it out...

then eventually I manage to do it right? or just get sick of it? I figure continually exposing yourself to a radioactive cube without any protection isn't very healthy.

anyway, I'm hanging out with comrades in what seems to be the garden of our house, seems to be Summer, one of them comments about how we will have to leave the house soon-ish?

then I'm just flying around on this giant swing of sorts. my friends go on about how I'm irradiated and they should avoid contact but they don't take it too seriously.

I walk around the place, there are some old PC case parts laying around...

then go back, one of my friends brings a fucking clone of me, who's looking surprised, looks like a pre-transition version of me??

weird.

two dream parts of interest


first, is that we reopened the humanitarian squat we lived in back in 2017-2018

but, while there are similarities to what the decor was actually, the building layout is way different

and, there are some oddities, like, hospital beds in the corridors, supposedly to treat coronavirus cases??

anyway, I'm trying to find my way out of the building, to go do something else... so I go to the entrance hall. there are several people standing there and just waiting for the weekly meeting, it's weird because it's Friday but it's too early for the meeting. shrug.

I glance at the meeting room, wondering why we aren't using that, but remember there are people sleeping in it


another part with comrades and large dogs who are friendly, shrug


then I'm in my parents' home, in what was my bedroom, where several things happen

one of them is that I want to turn off my computer and all, but it's behaving weirdly. the printer does pretty much its own thing. I eventually turn off the power to the computer/etc entirely, but the computer takes a bit longer to actually shutdown.

I want to sleep (it's 4AM or so), but my bed is a mess, I think there's renovation work or whatever going on... so I make some room for me in the bed.

which is when mom decides to vacuum the place, of all things. but, more oddly, I don't berate her for thinking vacuuming at 4AM would be a good idea.

she comes in my room, we open the blinds (window seems absurdly wide?), look outside... random chatter...

at some point I faint... and wake up

wtf, this was weird


like, part I remember takes place in a weird residential building where I live, it has 3 or 4 floors?

anyway, 'my apartment' in it is on the last floor, it's about the same size as my actual one, but a flashback shows how it was expanded by cannibalizing some pre-apartment space...

there are other apartments on the other floors but this is where it's weird, they all have wildly different sizes. like, the one below me is real large, meanwhile there's a tiny 9m² apartment cabin thing on the rooftop...

then there's some scene with me losing one of my keys...

was a weird dream, apparently I worked for some association or something, they even had an apartment for the staff and I had my little room in it; when I entered said apartment, there were 3 other people, one being one of my friends, the others unknown.

then some car trip but the details are lost.

there was also a part where I was taking a stroll in my native town, I was super happy and there was that music playing, I was dancing to it as I walked, there were a bunch of other people who were dancing too, dunno what was going on.

I was even wearing my Converse shoes, which were similar to the ones I have IRL except the white parts were black, and they were quite worn too (but apparently that was how I got them in the dream??). this bit was before the apartment part apparently, because I arrived at the apartment wearing these same shoes, but I'd already been there before? weird.

some wacky dream bits...


Rayman 2, but revisited. the 'escape from prison-ship' bit at the beginning was significantly fleshed out. there was something involving an airplane you were in and had to land safely, or something? then there were lava falls (coming out of said airplane????) at the bottom of which you were supposed to steal a helicopter thing to reach land safely. weird.

as I made it to the helicopter, it instead was some sort of robotic avatar thing, but for kids, with a too low seat and some visor screen, but it couldn't actually shoot things, but I pretended to shoot at someone else with it...

also, a Mario themed bossfight. it took place on one of those Bowser ships. but here was the thing: you were facing all the bosses at once, don't remember who they were exactly but it was like all the game's bosses were there. there were also some fancypants powerups to use, one of them was a small Megaman that basically turned Mario into Megaman and spawned a line of black balls that turned into Megaman too, and then with all your clones you were able to defeat the bosses.

parents' home, helping grandma take an other old lady (would-be great-grandma??) to the hairdresser.

wandering around in some building (squat?), thinking about a blog post about 'steam drive' and its use in brewing beer (yep...), the post even had a title that was a pun on the French translation of 'steam drive'...


there was also a part that took place in what was my apartment, but it was completely different. it basically was one large room, the kitchen and even the bathroom were open on the living space, and one of my friends was taking a shower, but wearing black shorts.

then I went to the entrance, and actually there was a little bit of corridor before the apartment, that had a door and I thought I could cannibalize it to enlarge my apartment, I even had the key to that door... so I did, but then gave up on the idea as I thought the landlord might not appreciate it.

reminds me of those times where I dream about a relative who is dead, and at some point go "wait, weren't they dead"


anyway, fun dream bit from a while ago

so, I work at a lab of sorts (as a civic service type contract). one of my friends is also working there but as a more permanent contract I think. anyway, my role is mostly to make a new website for the lab, at some point we even see it projected on the staircase wall (it looked quite like the website I actually made for that association back in 2017, during my actual civic service contract).

but I also help the chemists with their tasks. so I'm supposed to fetch some chemical, sodium I think? my friend needs potassium, but he states he's not allowed to go to level 3B (which is where chemicals are stored), so somebody else went there for him and fills his jar with 'potassium' (which is some orange/brown liquid). he also has another container...

then we go together to level 4B, which is where the actual lab is? waiting in front of a door. my friend now has a bunch more chemical elements, some liquid, some gaseous (really some weird huge balls of... thing, it's really thin and red), he throws one at me...

hanging out with my family, we go to places (restaurant?)...

eventually we go to some bar called William, it's a 1970s style bar, with full-glass facade with a dark blue curtain behind, the front sign has the name in lowercase, black letters with a darkened gold outline, the 'a' has some bits of a 'w' on the top and bottom, weird.

there's even some old famous singer inside and all...


other dream. in town, escaping something?

eventually I end up in an apartment with a kid. don't remember well, but I eventually say byebye to the kid as I leave the place, getting out by the window, trying to climb various fences to get back to the street...

which is where I become so drunk that I can barely manage. in the process, I get noticed by a couple strangers and they misgender me. frustrated, I yell 'I'm not a guy!!', which leads to someone calling me the T-word.

later on, sitting in a street, I get to recompose myself. find out that my phone got damage, screen is cracked but worse than it was already. I think my laptop was damaged too?
