I think Discord periodically (re)loads assets, causing a brief moment of lag. I can pretty much instantly download the assets, so suddenly a huge bomb of data has to be processed.
The main clue it lags is rendering glitches. The world could always use more heroes! |

It's inefficient coding. Simply.
If we went back to early 2000s efficiency levels of coding, things would be incredible. We're at ~20MB EXEs + 2MB of DLLs to do what a 2MB self-contained EXE could do back then. The world could always use more heroes! |
