I'm in the process of getting my USB loader to play Gamecube games on my Wii... After dicking with it for nearly three and a half hours, I finally think I'm making a breakthrough. I have it to the point where games will load up, Paper Mario: TYD and Zelda: Wind Waker load and seem to play well enough, albeit a tad slow, but I can live with that.
I almost can get an iso of Luigi's Mansion to play, but it crashes the Wii when I try to advance off of the title screen. I hope it was just a bad conversion from .gcm to .iso because I blind converted by just changing the file extension at the instruction of a guide I found. I'm currently running the .gcm through a proper converter, so hopefully it'll let me play it this time. EDIT: I discovered the copy of Luigi's Mansion I had was a bad dump. I'm in the process of redownloading it to try again. In the meantime, I downloaded Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles to see if it would work, and it appears to play flawlessly. EDIT2: The torrent for Luigi's Mansion just finished, and I tried it again. Still hangs when I press Start. I may have to actually find this game. Who would've thought that making the Wii emulate games it can play normally would be so fucking hard. I have forty five Wii games that all play fairly well from an external hard drive, yet have trouble getting two or three Gamecube games to run from an SD card. |

I was going to close it when it hit two thousand replies, which is standard 20ppp's 100 pages, and my nonstandard 50ppp's 40 pages.
Basically, once this hits 2k posts, one of us is gonna sacrifice this thread to the forum gods, entomb it in the display case, and attempt to reincarnate it with a new Town Square thread. |

Oh look, it's this hot button issue again.
As stated before, I'm on Marzen's side on this because I'm tired of everywhere I go online that is inhabited by anything brony-related (I say brony-related and not pony-related because a lot of bronies have the obnoxious tendency to unnecessarily cross everything over) and if there is one comment that can even be remotely gleaned as even marginally negative, every brony in a twenty webpage radius flocks in and starts squawking about how "everybody that hates ponies" should just get along and be a big ol' huggy buggy bunch of friends. I swear to fucking god that the brony fandom is the most insecure bunch of children to have ever banded into a fandom, because no one can seem to take any fucking criticism at all. As stated above, if anyone even remotely shows distaste for their beloved show or anything that has been spliced into a bastardized chimera with it, they all seem to cry and be whiny little bitches about it. I can almost guarantee that's the reason why so many people, that would otherwise not care, hate bronies. Now, before you start jumping on me for being a hypocrite for "being a pony hater" and having a pony-related Firefox skin (for those of you who pay attention to other threads), I'm not a hater. I enjoy the show and several fan sub-series that aren't related to other things (i.e. Hotdiggedydemon on Youtube's Pony.mov series), but I'm tired of how oversensitive the fanbase is. Also, I don't really mind the layouts because some of them are nicely done. I just want to bring to attention something that I saw @Aesur retweet a few weeks ago, because it's very pertinent. "RT @KaiserNeko: Bronies: You need to understand that comedians make JOKES ABOUT PEOPLE. You're not sacred, nor is your fandom. Learn to laugh at yourself." tl;dr Bronies: Get over yourselves @Liliana: Yes, adblock exists, but it tends to block too much. There are quite a few things that I enjoy from many sites that also host things that I don't want to see. If I set a filter to block what i don't want to see, it assumes I don't want to see anything from that source. Highly counter-intuitive. |

Posted by GywallEven so, there are many a disclaimer out there for many things that say, "Opinions expressed by this do not necessarily reflect the views of any subsidiary or parent companies of the party(ies) involved."Posted by TreliorAnd Nabisco is owned by Kraft foods. |

Posted by NicoleAs far as I'm concerned, no. Your layout is actually one of the nice ones I was talking about. I was just unloading because of the overall oversensitivity that has reared its ugly head yet again. That aside. This is the thread for discussing avatars and custom titles, not bitching about bronies. Let's shift back, please. |

Posted by NicoleActually, it increases the amount of links per page while in threads, because there are thirty more instances of [user name], Link, Reply, Edit, and Delete per page (for staff on the last two, obviously)... I've just always used 50ppp with no reason to change now. |

Posted by GywallNo, I properly write titles. Titles for books, movies, TV shows, songs, and (by extension) threads should have every major word (i.e. not articles or insignificant words like 'in,' 'is,' or 'on') capitalized. |

I haven't really ever done anything as far as weapon training goes, but when I was a kid, I loved target archery. I don't have much arm strength, so pulling even a 30 pound test compound bow is hard for me to do. It's a shame, because I want to go target shooting again some time. |

Earlier this morning, I had a customer come in that wanted to fill up his gas tank in his van, but didn't have any money prepared to give me for his prepay. It was funny because he kept reaching into his pocket and pulling out a single bill out, each time was an increasing amount, accompanied by a snarky remark by me.
First was a $1, and I said, "Not gonna get much with that!" Next was a $20, followed by, "Getting closer!" Then finally he found a $100 and handed it to me, he was visibly flustered by it, and I thought it was hilarious. He must've known I was fucking with him because he cracked the biggest smile when he came back in to get his change, and remarked about how bored I must've been. I talked to him for a few minutes, then he went on his way. I'm glad my customers have a sense of humor on the graveyard shift. EDIT: Yay typos. |

Kafuka's Lord of the Rant Kinda explains itself, eh? Although, it does seem a bit ironic that I didn't give it at least a paragraph of text to go with it. Oh well, can't rant 'em all. |

Posted by GywallNo... The AI is stupid. It tries to use Normal- and Poison-type attacks on Ghost- and Steel-types, respectively, all the time. I don't even bait the attacks with a switch, the AI actually tries to take down my Gengar with Giga Impact. I purposely used a fresh from the wilds of Mt Silver Ponyta in with my party of level 100s and went into one of the stadiums with it. I was taking the scaled-to-meet-my-highests down in one shot from Take Down. |

Do you think Rydia remembers that the layout thread that I told him about on his first day as a member is the place he should bring specific attention to his layout, instead of plastering the board with questions on everyone's opinion? |

I just had another funny customer moment a few minutes ago. A lady came in to prepay some gas, and my phone was playing Boten Anna (the Swedish Eurodance song, although, I can't think of any other songs with that title). The volume wasn't particularly high, but she started dancing to the beat.
It had to be my music, because the store's loudspeaker wasn't playing a particularly dance-worthy song. Maybe it's because I'm so bored mindless, but I found it hilarious. |
