So after months of bullshit with school and applying to schools on the east, I managed to get into one of the best boarding schools in America. It was funny, my stepmom was coaching me on interviews and being prepared when I was gonna do a skype interview with another school, and then my dad (who was currently having a terrible kidney stone) steps out of the bedroom to tell us that he's the phone with the head of the school I'm going to and that I got in. Next thing I know, both my parents are crying and I'm just sitting there in disbelief (frankly I still have a hard time believing it).
I'm... kinda shocked, honestly. I mean I'm not dumb but I never expected to be given an opportunity like this. Hell, I was mentally preparing myself to have to go to public school because my grades were so bad (or at least I thought they were). So yeah< /brag>. |
