What was your first cosplay?

If never, who would you like to cosplay as?

I've gone as Commander Shepard from Mass Effect a few times, but it was cheaply done. All I had was the N7 hoodie on.

I've worn the fourth Doctor's scarf a few times, but also, doesn't really count.

So I would have to say that Louise from Bob's Burgers was my first cosplay about a month ago. It was cheap to put together and simple, but it was the first time I felt like I actually cosplayed.

I always wanted to cosplay, but there's one problem: all the characters I like enough to cosplay are of a radically different body type than me. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to creative stuff, so I'm hesitant to do it if I can't make it look really good.

I'm a tall-ish dude with a beard, so I seriously contemplated Negan for a while, but I'm not sure I want to be walking around a crowded con hall with that much black leather.

And for the record, I am aware Reinhardt cosplays exist, but I lack the time and ability to assemble something like that, and again, I'd like to actually enjoy the cons I attend, and not stand around in power armor all day for photo ops.

Wouldn't that be kinda easy, since most of it is just the bodysuit? Beyond that, all you need is the wig, makeup, and maybe the prop gun (which would probably be the toughest part) and you're golden.

Also, a question: Do Halloween costumes count as cosplay?

That's a good one. But how is his classic look? My hair isn't brown, for example. I don't have any beard to speak of (assuming one of his looks has one. I'm rather short, too.

Freeman's glasses sorta looks like my own. More or less. Mine are more square than round. Or a bit of both, actually.

My eyes are blue, though.

Edit: I could probably go as banner. I'd just need to find a giant pair of purple shorts. And possibly do something about my hair color and such.

It'd be easy sure. Bodysuit, some hair dye to lighten my hair, and the gun prop.

I already have a make-up bag. I can use a pink lip pencil for the facial markings.

It kinda makes sense to start easy though.

I'm a stocky guy, so if I could get a red long-sleeve shirt and some denim overalls along with a sufficiently lanky friend, I want to cosplay as Mario, too.

Aside from that, I have never cosplayed.
