Anyway, sweet... guess my memory isn't as gone as I thought. I still remember the Super Veggies SMB2 hack music vividly.


I dunno how much story I have the energy of getting into, but I'm a game director now and I've been working on games for Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and more. It's fun and soul crushing at the same time and I might have already said too much

Recently directed the game Mighty Milky Way available now on the Nintendo eShop, and I'm currently working with Konami on a game for PlayStation Vita

I'm KP9000. I've been lurking around Acmlm's since like 1999.
I was one of those lurkers myself up until 2003, where i joined up as "gamefreak19" (god I hate that name). So while some really old people might not recognize me, I been around (Seeing how broken my English was back in 2003, maybe that was for the best I didn't join right away).

Basically just after tRO2 launched I went '*poof*' I started working at The University I was going to part time. I ended up getting a full time job there. I am general purpose IT guy.

I find phpBB to be quite solid forum software, although Acmlmboard 1.x easily had more features back in the day. Plus Acmlmboard always had that charm. ;)

Nonetheless HELLO OLDBIES :D. I lurked way back then too but literally no one remembers me from those days cause that's ALL I did (I was one of the guys who hung around Iceboard and Romendo more). I came into prominence around the Board2 era here, for several years. Ahhh the good ol' days.

phpBB is pretty decent, and pretty fast. It has a decent amount of mods too, but nowhere near as complete as vB. If Acmlm kept developing the board, and there was a serious dev team / effort, it probably could be a competitor in the open-sauce arena.

That's what we are. Kafuka is the public board, and ABII is the development project. :)
Our goal is to go full Open Source after a few closed reversion. Right now Bouche implemented an advanced permissions system, while incomplete allows us to do everything from Host forums with specific access per user/group or to block a single asshat from posting in a sigle forum.

Another system called "badges" while not finished yet will allow us to give people something more tangible for "mosts". Plus they will be tied to effects like the old Xkeeper Googles and such B2 had.

That's just what I can think of off the top of my head...

So yeah. I agree :)
