It depends how loose you hang the word "friend" really.
I have a few at least, mostly people I work with as school friends and all that.. sorta lost a degree of contact with them. Although, there's only a handful that there's a mutual caring about with.. but then again, that's what I'd prefer to define a friend as. The world could always use more heroes! |

I'm not a social person, though I do have a few friends in the world of IRL. I have three friends down near where my extended family lives, four or five personal friends that live here in Brookville, and I like to think I'm friends with a few of my coworkers.
Though, when I get right down to it, I sometimes feel that I only have my one friend. Usually because he's the only one that wants to deal with me when I get angsty. |

I have only a few IRL friends, however I have quite a few IRL acquaintances. Most are from work. Mostly they are just occasional lunches, or a small as I can count on a favor from them, and vice-versa. Those I call friends I rarely see. Maybe once a month. Lately I've been busy with work, and I'm also taking classes so that eats up so much time heh.
I tend to be very shy most of the time, but I can also be very bold, personable, and charming too. Mostly those are in business relationships though. If it's someone I 'like' I am the worlds biggest bungling + shy person in the world. Actually, I'd say a few "shy" people are actually loners.. The people who prefer solitude over socialising.
I used to think of myself as "shy", but noticed I feel so much more comfy in a space I can call my own. Then to boot, my social skills were just weak.. but became stronger once I began talking to random people as part of my job. The world could always use more heroes! |

I am not a loner per say. I do like it a lot of the time, but I also enjoy having company etc. Truth is that's the one thing that I miss not being in a relationship ATM is the companionship aspects. I tend to think of "Facebook Friends" as more of a count of people I'm at least acquainted to.
Although, I still don't understand the craze in having thousands of "friends".. but then again, I'm not sure I'd want to be very popular. I'm happy having less than 20 people who actually give a damn about me. The world could always use more heroes! |

I would be willing to bet that I have 5-6 "true friends". However, I am only somewhat sociable in real life. I've only been to a few parties and opted out of them myself, because I honestly didn't enjoy the experience. On the other hand, I am--almost--always friendly and willing to converse.
What I post on facebook is somewhat personal. I'd rather just have that information entrusted to what the system was meant for--friends, rather than dozens of people that I don't know and don't care about. That being said, I believe my friends list consists of only 70-80 people. Even so, 20-30 of those are just people that I have known at one point or another. |
