Not quite. He missed a spot along the bottom :)

Now, imagine an X window manager whose sole UI element is a right-click menu. As long as no windows are open, there's only the desktop. Minimized windows don't get an icon on the desktop -- they are restored from that same menu.

And the desktop is black.
