And of course, in the subjects that she taught.

Can't believe it's been over three years and no one here paid their respects.
I never knew you Taryn but you seem a great person. Hope you're doing great in heaven ^_~

..paying your respects by bumping a thread seems like a bad idea.

as for me, I just don't know what to say; because I never knew Taryn personally. I only caught a glimpse of her back in my lurking days.
I read plenty of her posts by now, but it's absolutely nothing compared to knowing her. especially from outside the board.

at times like these I regret not believing in heaven.

it's not my place to say, but at least Danielle won't let you be forgotten.

And I think that's the idea. It seems to me that all the people who really knew her well have already grieved, or have already said their peace here and are continuing the process offline.

I personally didn't know Taryn well; we just didn't cross paths very often when Acmlmboards were in their prime. But I do know what it's like to lose a longtime AB friend. I still miss my friend all the time, but I also find myself using such an experience (and threads like these) to remind myself (albeit in an odd way) that our lives matter and that everything counts, even our time on a message board.
