I think it would be more logical if the main page new markers had the number of new threads on them, rather than the number of new posts.
On the fora pages, they can display the number of posts for each thread. ____________________ I don't give a flying feather |

Sorry to hijack your thread. But on that topic, I noticed the NEW! markers are buggy. When Ailure posted a new post in the Computing forum, it told me "NEW 8". That can't be right. |

I could honestly do without the classic-style 'new' markers altogether. They're confusing at a glance, and don't mesh well with new-style layouts, in my opinion. |

The font is just a place holder. It will be 'modernized'
As for the issue with the numbers, yup I only noticed that once we put it on live. I'll work on it some more. This feature is experimental. Posted by Trelior Don't worry it will be something other than HOT.  Epele is working on the replacement font as well so it will be smaller. Also the Colors I haven't adjusted as they are muted and don't contrast from each other. I used the HOT only for the April fools thing but it turns out I forgot to add the ! variant in the code. When everything is set and done, on the default 'theme' for forum "flags" should be symbols for all but "NEW" (red for hot, yellow for new) and EDT (red for hot, green for edt) [This isn't implemented and I don't expect it to be for a long time, but I am planning ahead function wise. This basically is reserved if a feature is implemented that allows you to track edits like New threads.
