Greasemonkey is... oddly amusing at times.
Today I've made the background image for the "Black Matrix" board theme animate. Pastebinned the userscript if anyone else wants it; link to the actual animated gif if you just want to see the animation. |

I have two problems with that.
Ein. I don't have Greasemonkey. Zwei. I don't use that board theme. I enjoy my Touch of Purples too much to join the matrix. The world could always use more heroes! |

Greasemonkey is one of those extensions I have installed but barely use. It's neat though I think animated backgrounds are bit annoying after awhile.

Posted by AilureI think it varies on the animation type. Slow and long animation can be nice. Quicker animations can be distracting. The world could always use more heroes! |

It's not a matter of quantity, it's that this specific background is simply not trippy enough to remind of Earthbound.
Even if you made ten backgrounds like this one, that wouldn't make it any more Earthbound-like. |
