doesn't ABXD2 have decent coding, though? And a better interface, if I say so myself? :P

2.2.x is around the point the code starts to go to shit. 2.0.2 could work.

ABXD 3's code seems nice actually. Except for that horrible translation shit.

I might consider rewriting queries for 2.0.2 in order to get it working on PHP 7.2 and MySQL 5.7

AB3 won't ever exist XD, the reason being is that the developers aren't even finished on AB2.

AB2 started over 10 years ago, and it's still far from completion. A lot of the team have been inactive for a long time so I don't expect it to come ever

What was even the point of mentioning board2?

I need to put something here

AB2.5 derives from board2's 2.1 code IIRC.

Yes, that's correct. The codebase used on board2 is what formed the base for 2.5, but the code went through major overhauls. Let alone the patches on security exploits and more.

Different people are responsible for different things. A portion is documented here.

I'm responsible for many fixed, optimisations, overhauled mood avatar editor, the forums ranking page - which is an advanced version of acs.php. It's what generates the KCS report on-demand.

I wonder if board2 can be exploited in any way... would be very fun to get into the site's files and redirect all traffic to Kafuka, where it should be going :D

I'd do that just to support this community :P

I'm sure there's something to exploit.
Or we could upload crap to the uploader until the storage is full. Then all mayhem could happen!

How've we gone from discussing AB3 to if Board2 can be exploited?

I need to put something here

It's what happens when you talk about code.

I seriously wonder if some code holes have been plugged though.

The last revision for 2.1 was made in the beginning of January 2016.

Also, given board2 likely runs on an old PHP version, I wouldn't be surprised if it was easily exploitable using remote code execution or such.

Isn't there a way to check the PHP version for a website? I remember there being a way to see the PHP version for a website in the header stuff.

Only if you have access, sadly, unless there's a remote exploit. The PHP version powering board2 is probably one of the 5.x series, given even AB2.5.2 doesn't run on PHP 7.

I tried with PHP 7 and it worked. IDK what you're talking 'bout.

Hmm, weird. I tried it earlier, it complained about some MySQL extension missing stuff.

Unless a site actually publishes which version of php is powering it, it's impossible to know.
