Posted by ThierryAh, this is lost on so so many people. Near enough everyone who has asked me if it stands for ____ has got the answer of no. Simply. It stands for Great. Narcissistic, yes. I know. But why Gt = Great? Lemme give you a lesson. Put in Gt Yarmouth into google, or any old map site. You'll end up with Great Yarmouth. It's where I picked it up from, y'see. It actually originates from a holiday park there. However, my memory of it is even older than the Google Maps streetview version. Though, you can still find it on postcards. More typically older ones, but sometimes now ones.
