I got Kid Icarus: Uprising; only played the first level so far, I like the Pit/Palutena banter, but the controls are kind of difficult to get used to, especially on the ground. (Especially for someone like me who has trouble controlling 3D games anyway... >_>)

Hey, has anyone of you tried the Spirit Temple in OoT Master Quest? If not, don't.

It is utter hell and without a guide you won't even have the slightest idea on how to proceed. They managed to put together the worst puzzles and mix them to become hell on earth.

I've completed the MQ version.. >_>

It is pretty hard, and there's a lot you don't expect. Took me a few days - but no guide use.

It sure doesn't help that they put all those Wallmasters everywhere. I'm shit scared of Wallmasters.

MQ Fire Temple?

I don't remember it being that bad. Was it?

The worst worst part about Master Quest was the gold skulltulas.

I recall there being a bombable wall in that block corridor in the Water Temple. @_@

Hah, the Gold Skulltulas are the worst. They really hid them in the most evil places. >_>

I have beaten that game an innumerable amount of times and I only remember getting all the Skulltulas once. That was with a strategy guide, mind you. It's just not worth it... By that point I do not require money.

It's nice to say you've done it, but ONLY once.

Back to the very addicting Swap Job.
I like it much more than the game it's loosely based on.

When do you even actually require money in OoT? I mean, beside the initial thing to buy the Deku Shield, you never need money in the entire game. It's kind of a shame really.

Money gets you the Piece of Heart in Kakariko Graveyard (child), the Big(ger) Bomb Bag in Hyrule Castle Town, TWO Pieces of Heart in Hyrule Castle Town, and the Big(ger) Quiver in Kakariko Village (adult).

It also gets you the Piece of Heart in Lake Hylia's Fishing Pond (child) or the Golden Scale (adult).

Really, I think they executed the whole thing much better in Majora's Mask, mostly by giving the money, you know, a purpose.

Yeah, you store it in the bank and you get a Piece of Heart.

You also need it if you fuck up the Piece of Heart pot-smash minigame as Zora Link. It's also valuable for acquiring Chateau Romani.

There's a LOT more uses in Majora's Mask for money, from mini-games to valuable items you can buy. In Ocarina of Time, I'm full on money 90% of the time. Sure, there are mini-games there too, but definetely not as many.

Anyone else here played Link's Awakening? The money-system in there is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE, you have to have a LOT of money to buy necessary items, and unless you wanna grind for rupies, you don't have much left over to use on your own. By the end, you gotta spend more than 1200 rupies on story-required items like the shovel and bow/arrow, not to mention the 600-something rupies on Wart teaching you how to sing. If the Gold Skulltulas were in that game, I'd actually probably get them.

Nobody bought the Bow in that game. Everyone stole it. And then they were in for a nasty surprise when they revisited the shop. :|

I bought it.

<_<

Has anyone stolen from the shop, headed back in to get killed, and managed to get away from that incident without getting a death added to your counter?

I tried sharking my way past with a perma-max health cheat once. It stops everything. You cannot move, die, or anything. It's forced that you have to die. >_>

Playing a bit of Soul Calibur V with a few friends this evening. Getting my ass kicked, as usual.

Yes, but save and quit button combo?

You can die and still save and quit (without gaining a death counter tick) if you're still spinning.

Huh, I didn't know that. I'll have to try it out so I can do an easier run by stealing both the shovel AND the bow! :D

Also I bought the bow when I was a kid cause I did not know how to steal.
