The OS isn't too bad, the build quality is alright and the prices are fucking ridiculous for what they are. It's apple's corporate greed causing this.

The iphones have a similar problem since around the iphone 5c or so.

It all comes down to what you value... I prefer laptops and Apple makes the best ones on the market for what I look for; plus OS X is by far the most usable Unix-like IMO.

I use a Mac because I like it. I've used the OS since NeXTstep days so I am fond of it. Plus it's a full unix os I can do everything I need in an OS (which requires decent GUI, with unix CLI). Plus I need a few key commercial applications and I can run all of those natively.

I still am not 100% with modern Linux desktops envs since they still often have hickups or lack something I like or use. I would use a really old WM like WM but it's multi head support is meh at best (and all but the big full environments actually do multi head the way I like it.. with some random issue)
