An old classic RPG series that began on the Gameboy..
I still play it, even after several years since the series began.  Starting out with Pokémon Red. Now playing in Pokémon White. 
Do any of you play the games.. battle with others.. trade with others? The world could always use more heroes! |

Long time pokemon fan here. :p
I just picked up black a few weeks ago myself (been flashing it before.) so I'm working on getting to the end of that so I can start training up a team for pvp. The generation I like the most is by far the third, and I have been playing each and every mane game in the franchise since it started. ____________________ Broken layout got nuked. :v |

♥902 ✿4489 ★16 The only ones I've played are gen 1 and gen 2... I have battled on occasion, but nothing competitive and I don't know all the crazy tricks the competitive people use.  I tried playing Fire Red but I found it uninteresting.
I meant to try a game from the B/W generation, but then I got really lazy and never actually bothered until it got old. The same thing happened before with HG/SS... |

I've battled other people.. Somewhat competitively too, but not one of these "must have perfect or near perfect" stats types of competitive. The variation keeps things fun! The world could always use more heroes! |

I got my start in Gen I with Blue, and I played the shit out of almost all of the series. The only games I didn't play were Red and Gold, and at one point in time, I owned all of the ones I played.
As far as spinoffs go, I played Snap, Stadium, Stadium 2, Colosseum, Gale of Darkness, Battle Revolution, Mystery Dungeons Red Rescue Team, and Explorers of Darkness and Sky. I attempted to play Ranger, but found it to be really stupid. As for the main series PvP, I'm big on strategy and love to battle. Stats don't matter as much to me, because I have better things to do than grind my patience down for a measly 20 points. |

1. I never said I did have a problem with the FC database thread. In fact, I even mentioned that the more places the better. I'm unsure how you read that as if I was somehow against the idea.
2. And yes it is a good idea to share all your information in one place rather then all over the place. But it was relevant to the discussion of this thread for me to request a friendcode, gees, I don't see the big deal. ____________________ Broken layout got nuked. :v |

I'd say both sides of that arguement are valid.. but that isn't the point here.
Back to the topic.. A battle would be wonderful. Just not right now.. at work.. so heh. The world could always use more heroes! |

I have not imported anything to black yet since, like I mentioned, I just got the game. I'm still running through the main quest as of now. Once I do get up a few I suppose we can do few 3vs3 battles though. ____________________ Broken layout got nuked. :v |

Is that, 3vs3 as in a 3 Pokémon team singles match, or a triple battle?
That concept made explaining things so much more difficult.. without being much more than a horrible version of a double battle.  The world could always use more heroes! |

Triple battles are bad? You should see the OTHER new kind of battling. (Which by the way you don't get to try on any trainer in white, likewise, triple battles are not in black.)
But yeah, I meant 3vs3 single battles. I kinda like single battles the most, double battles are cool, but you kinda want a full team for that. Triple battles are just kinda suffering since you notice quite clearly that pokemon was not really designed to work that way. :I ____________________ Broken layout got nuked. :v |

If you mean Rotation battles, I quite enjoy that concept. It's like a more exciting single battle in a sense. The world could always use more heroes! |

Not just rotation, there are outright triple battles that play out like two side by side double battles that are joined at the hip.
[enemy mon 1] [2] [3] [your mon 1] [2] [3] All fighting at the same time, you command all three at once and they move normally. Influence goes [1] can affect ally [2] and enemies [1] and [2], same for [3] just subbed for [1]. Both middle 'mons can hit the whole field in their influence. This is important for wide moves like Explosion, Surf, and Earthquake since they only work within the sphere of influence. It affects strategy, big time. Also, in addition to swapping with your reserve in place of a turn, you can also trade adjacent places. Like [1] or [3] can become [2] in exchange, but you can't do a full side swap in a single turn. It's kinda hard to explain clearly without a visual aid. |
