so, I'm trying to generate a self-signed SSL certificate

since let's hipstercrypt is crapo and doesn't like free subdomains for some reason -.-

unfortunately I have no clue what exactly I'm meant to be putting in since there's a billion different ways to do things. and each of those things seem to do different stuff

also couldn't follow DO's tut on it because the phone doesn't want to select whatever is in the code block

help please?

Free domains are likely blacklisted for security worries. A risk with self-signing is some browsers will block a self-signed certificate for the same security worries.

Also moving this to a more appropriate forum.
