ASUS? feh.
dunno, honestly. ASUS laptop here. maybe I got a defective mobo, but it has a bunch of weirdass issues: * randomly, keeps turning on if AC is plugged. seems to do it way less often now. * randomly decides that 'auto hibernate' means 'spin CPU fan full speed forever' * sometimes faulty right speaker, probably unrelated ____________________ Kuribo64 - melonDS want some revolution in your coffee? |

I've heard they're pretty decent. Then again, I never tried them, and I've had best experience with Acer computers (my first desktop PC was an Acer with an AMD running Vista SP1 and it was brilliant!) unlike 99% of people... ____________________ Good riddance! |

I've a few bits of Asus hardware. I have no issues. Sure it's Asus and not Acer? People often mistake the two.
I use an Asus motherboard and Wireless card. I also have an Asus Router. Not had any issues with them (Outside the motherboard's USB not providing the power needed for an old SteelSeries Apex - before it was rebranded Apex 350) I just think the keyboard was power hungry. The world could always use more heroes! |

Yeah I had an Asus motherboard in a custom build, was a great AMD board but sadly it got struck by lightning  Would probably still be alive today if not for that"Miracles happen, when you believe..."

Moving on from a ThinkPad W701 back to a desktop... is a ThinkCentre M900 any good? I owned an older machine in the ThinkCentre line for a few years and it was great  "Miracles happen, when you believe..."

recent updates for minecraft were pretty well optimised, so it runs a lot easier and smoother. all in all, less strain on your sytem and more fun.
my laptop's pretty old and it runs just fine. yours should as well without too much tweaking parameters. ____________________ there's a link here. |
