I just applied places until I got hired.

Retail isn't glamorous, but it's probably the easiest to get into.

saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame

I feel you

I have no tips about that, though, obv

but currently I'm into a State program to help me find internships and jobs, they help you work your presentation and shit, they have access to the hidden job market, etc

so there's hope?

just avoid listening to crap like "you need 100+ applications to hope ever getting somewhere!!". that kind of shit tends to just throw me into depression.

and try to see if your country offers similar programs

unless it's lolUSA and "just pull yourself up by your bootstraps lololol"

I do live in the USA. ;A;

I've even tried applying for SSI and the tests they make you do are too easy to fail.

I went to grad school for a few years (test-based admission, but in my field you get paid a stipend and don't have to pay tuition), which isn't a terrible idea if you want to stall out, but to stay in academia... it takes guts >_>

Then I was unemployed for a year until I found a job through someone I followed on twitter... (for an entry-level position that basically just required computer/internet literacy), which I was able to parlay into moving into development. The super-frustrating thing is that a lot of employers won't even consider you until you already have a job, then they are desperate for you.

A lot of retail stores are hiring for season. Retail sucks (I used to work for GameStop) but it might be something to consider.

Also, it is considered season in Florida, so you might want to check out restaurants in your area.

You can apply for United Parcel Service, they're hiring for the holiday season. And if you can produce for them, they'll keep you.

They have union benefits, 401K, medical insurance. And you get weekends and holidays off with pay after you're there for a year. It's hard work, that kida job is not for everybody.

You can look at it like this, you're getting paid to work out. :)

GameStop sucks. I had a brief stint there.
