Kas... i never really got to know her that well (i don't think i've ever spoken to her one-on-one), but no doubt she's had at least *some* influence on my life, even if it's indirectly... she was one of the first acmlmers that actually transitioned and in a roundabout way i'm indebted to her for taking those brave steps forward at a time when being openly trans was basically social suicide. she influenced people i knew who came out, who in turn influenced me. my only hope is that i can pass being able to live as myself onto other people, you know? in a positive way.
regrettably i'm not sure who kitation is |

Posted by Danikanot anymore, unfortunately. my parents threw out any VHS's a long time ago, if those count. the only musical cassette they had lying around was for some reason Julian Lennon's Valotte (i've never heard it). but i don't have any myself Posted by Thieppythey could... we'll see. i'd like to bring them back in some form (probably with some new moods included) but i'd also like the ability to possibly include other characters, as much as i love the consistency of just having Stocking... |

Posted by Thieppyi dunno, i think ramchebby sounds cute. fitting too because i'm quite chubby Posted by Danikayeah, in the late 90s. it didn't work very well but i'd watch reruns of double dare n shit on nickelodeon's dumb game show channel Posted by Thieppy(nb. i'm sorry for sounding so bitter in this response. i was homeschooled myself and it kind of devastated me growing up... i'm still recovering and i don't think i ever will fully recover and i think my life is going to be... defined by it forever. it's depressing to me and i hate the idea of whatever this is happening to someone else. hence the vitriol below.) short answer, no. long answer, not really. the sad truth is that everyone i've known who was homeschooled was educated in a really haphazard way and hasn't had amazing life prospects. like, unless you do tutoring or something, you're either going to end up indoctrinating and essentially brainwashing your kids (which is the intent a lot of the time anyway) or you're just going to end up not teaching them anything. because if your parents are your only teacher how the fuck's that gonna work out. parents aren't experts on literally everything, they just can't be by nature. teaching itself is a profession that requires a lot of attention to detail and ability to communicate with someone. it's not something anyone can just do. to assume otherwise is fucking hubris there's always going to be something missing socially, and not just in a "haha they're not going to be able to act normal socially and assimilate" way -- i mean the lost chance to make friends and connections and build experiences you can remember 20 years on with people that you aren't related to. kids should be fucking around and getting into trouble with other kids, you know? it's how you grow up. it's how kids learn that they're a person who matters and who doesn't have to exist in relation to a specific other. imo if you homeschool your kids you're robbing your kids of a normal life to feed your own ego, or to indoctrinate them, or so you'll have some eccentric genius child you can parade around as a trophy, whatever. it's fucking horrible. n parenting. Posted by Tieragenot a lot lately. music, playing, making, listening, whatever. sometimes i play video games. i've been sick so the past few days it's been nothing at all |
