Well, we finally got to see someone this past Wednesday about getting our affordable housing. My brother needs to get his psych evals updated and mine updated eventually. The man said that we can get an apartment between three to four months from now.
In the meantime we're still saving our money, and all the apartments are located in The Bronx, in the good areas. I'm hoping that things go smooth for us in the coming months. ____________________ Beacons.AI My Discord Server |

Well after all these months here's the latest update...
We've been transferred to another shelter, we're back in Brooklyn. We've been here for a little over a month, since 6/11/2019. This place is more rough than the last place but we adjusted to the place. Now here'e the good news... Our lottery from NYC Housing Connect has been picked! On July 3rd we handed paperwork to the owner in the Bronx, it's a 3br. She did the paperwork and this past Tuesday she called us early in the morning to get some docs Notarized, we took care of that also. With the last of the paperwork we secured the apartment. Now we're waiting to see the apartment and given a move in date. So we'll be outta the shelter system very soon.

More good news, DHS linked us to an apartment complex that's taking candidates, they're looking for people who never committed a crime, never been evicted, and have a decent credit score, and have a decent savings account.

Well, yesterday we were interviewed at the management office, they told us that we were approved after they did a credit and background check. We handed all our paperwork that she asked for, now we gotta wait between four to six weeks for HRA to inspect the apartment we're going to live in, this is a brand new building.
